To grow monsters or keep it smaller?

whats everyone's opinion, I can grow 12 monsters in my room or 24 mid sized girls. What would have the better outcome? I'm thinking the 24. I never tried small girls, for some reason I have a thumb to grow giants. Even When I don't veg long. Any thoughts?

Naw man, was an example I don't brag about my plants, I got bragging pics this ain't it. I'm serious I been wondering what's a better way to go, SOG-scrog 24 or rock 12 giants. Also I don't see how that's bragging st all

theres no "better way" we all know that. its a decision based on your personal gardening habits,style, qualifications, money, time, disabilities, strengths, space, resources, experience etc, completely up to you because we know nothing of any of these. tell me you cant walk for instance my suggestions may differ than if you have only one arm, or gout, or one eye and toe fungus even...

trees are great, scrogs are great, little trees are great, maybe one prefers variety over quantity, or croppers simply selling, or medical hobbyists living. you'll figure it out aye

It was a complement. If it was me. I'd either start them out smaller or LST to keep them out the lights. Never been a fan of cutting the most potent part of the plant to gain bulk.

I prefer fewer weeks in veg for a faster turnaround with more plants and higher yields.

Do you veg in the same room? If you do going to more plants will mean a quicker turnaround time. The other advantages to more plants is it's easier to fill the canopy and maximize yield. Of course less plants means less plants to water, less clones/seeds and a few other advantages. Really it's your personal preference.

Personally it would depend on my setup. If automated is rock more plants. If hand watering i would do less and larger plants.

No I just built another room for my veg, I just moved to a new place and wasn't perpetual. Now it is. Would SCROG yeild more then having just a few giants. One plant almost needs two lights

I prefer a scrog personally. Easier to control the canopy and even out the growth and light each section gets

Its about your canopy and lighting. You can train 5 plants to cover the same canopy space as 10 plants. Your lighting will determine how much canopy you have available as well how deep it will be.

Your canopy is uneven and not filled. Plants look great =) but if you work on your training and canopy control they will yield more.

If you're able to veg for a little longer then I feel you'll get better results with larger plants as opposed to smaller ones. The only benefit of having an army of smaller plants is having a shorter veg time. However the benefits of having larger plants in larger pots means that your root mass will be larger, which in turn means that your stems will be larger, which means that one single 25g root mass is capable of more growth/bud size than 4 7 gallon pots. If you don't mind waiting on veg a little longer and you have the space then I would personally always recommend larger plants.

In states where you are limited by plant count, single plant SCROG will usually be your best bet.

Even canopy I think is the main factor, be it many small plants in single cola sog or a few big ones topped to maintain even top heights. By what I've seen of both styles, with equal care and attention they both yield very good/similar on a yearly basis. Different styles/preference or logistics I suppose is the main difference.

Well I can grow up to 72, Michigan with 5 patients, but then are limited too a Michigan LB, that's 15zips. IMO that's stupid because your can get that off one plant. I normally veg for 3-4 months and get some big girls. I tried LEDs for the first time and noticed that I need 3-4 lights a plant and I personal

Up to you and your laws and your preferred way to hobby and how much time you want to spend, how many tents or rooms. Why not do a couple runs of differing ways and then pick the one you prefer?

If its only about yield per year for eg than a perpetual SOG is arguably the way to go.

Your canopy is too uneven and sparse for the lighting you have. If you were hanging bare bulbs you could grow "giants" and you would have much better light penetration from top to bottom of the plant. If you have overhead lighting a scrog is going be the better bet.

I try and spread the light as evenly as possible around the plant. I personally use bare bulbs and grow vertically. I have 4 plants surrounded by 5 1000w bulbs like so.....

Trying to make sure my lights are spaces equally between the plants. I then go through and pull all the center branches and middle shoots out to the outer edges of the plant, trying to get as many bud sites as close to the lights as I can.

In your current set up the lower you move down the plant the less light the plant receives. This leads to a lot of fluffy larf bud.

How long did you veg those plants?
