well i have this plant and its nearly 5 weeks old from seed and its only about 6 inches tall, im assuming its a sativa plant, i have around 150 watts of light for her now, before she didn't really get much cover but maybe 2 26watt cfls, now, shes pretty short and bushy, some of the fan leaves turned brown weeks ago and are sagging like shit and the stem only go's out maybe an inch, and new stems are shooting out of the base of the fan leaves, they are looking very nice (maybe 2 inches atm). the fan leaves are blocking the hell out of the new stems, only the new stems are growing and the fans are doing nothing at all but keeping light from the new stems(they havent grown for weeks) . i am on 12/12, cause i really need to finish the project even though they are 7 inches tall this was a great trial, and from 4 seeds, i have learned much and am ready to start some new seeds to maintain healthiness unlike this one.i was thinking of cutting the old and non growing fan leaves off to allow the new thriving stems light. would this hurt or help the plant? if so, at what part of the fan leaf should i cut, near the base or more near where the leaf is?
