To all noobs

First off I'm no scholar when it comes down to growing but I would like to share my experience's on RIU & some tips to help your grow.
I'm also a newbie

1.) Don't believe everything you read on RIU, there's a lot of Ass holes on this site that pretty much have nothing better else to do but sabotage your grow, there are some experienced vets that know what there talking about, pretty much anyone can be helpful on this site but double check everything someone tells you ( you will figure out who knows there shit & who's full of shit.
2.) If you don't have a Ph meter get one / this is very important, if you don't give your plants the proper Ph ( the leaves will fold, leaves will droop etc
Ph is very important / faucet water & some spring waters are high in Ph ( your Ph should be around 6.5 if your using soil.
3.) Make sure you don't over water your plants ( don't love them to death ) I use 3 gallon pots & I water every 3-4 days - 1/2 liter.
4.) Make sure your temp isn't to high ( 75-85 good )
5.) If you follow these steps you should be okay, these are the main problems I had when I started growing. Take care of your plants and they'll take care of you.

If there's anything I missed fill free to add / I'm a newbie so i still have a lot to learn / just thought i'd share this info to save you a lot of time and trouble.
3.) If your using nutes only use 1/2 of the dose recommended Per gallon & I

Pretty good info. On the nutes I usually go 1/4 first feeding, then 1/2 second feeding, and 3/4 from there on. Using slightly less than what the bottle says will help prevent over fertilizing. Over fertilizing is a coming mistake a lot of nobs make, but can be easily prevented.

Peace out

pH has been my number one problem through 4 grows. Nutes always make water super acidic. I read someone a while ago saying pH doesn't matter, but it's actually the number one importance for my grows, so I think that post was some bullshit you are talking about, when people want to sabatoge people's grow. Or, maybe he really believed that, and I have some cool paranoid mj I'm smoking???

The 4 things you absolutely MUST control in any grow = water, air, temperature, and light! Get a moisture & PH meter if you are using soil or get a PH & PPM reader if you are using hydroponics. If your leaves are wilting or falling over then it's most likely got to do with either your PH being out of whack. If your plant is slightly yellowing & you can't figure out why, ensure you have used the recommended doses of fertilizer at 1/4 to 1/2 strength & then work your way up from there. Old growth will ALWAYS be impacted before newer growth is when you overfeed your plants.

A rule of thumb for air = double the square foot of your growspace cubed. Example; I have a grow tent that is 4.5x4.5x6.5 = 131.625 sq ft cubed x 2 = 263-264 CFM rated fan. Some people may say I'm full of shit but I have never EVER had problems with extreme temps or RH issues while growing a crop.

Keep your grow space clean! Good god I cannot understand why some people don't comprehend how the 1st line of defense to preventing infestations of pests is to keep a clean space! This includes spending 10 or 20 minutes per day sweeping up dirt, dust, debris, spilled nutes, or dead foliage. You just have to run a good sweeping through there period. Wipe up your growspace with a 1 to 10 part bleach solution every week, don't bring outside soil inside, & wear fresh clean clothes whenever you enter your space. Also, keep your dogs or cats out of the grow area as hair in the bud is DEFINITELY not something you or anyone else wants to see when they go to spark up.

Get a good book on growing. My personal recommendation on this is Marijuana Horticulture: The Indoor/Outdoor Medical Grower's Bible by Jorge Cervantes. Take it from a guy that has read a pretty good amount of texts on indoor growing, propagation, MMJ cultivation, and a plethora of different seed guides. Knowledge is power & if you are setting out to invest as much time as you are going to into growing, purchase a book to read through & skim over as you are going through different parts of your grow. This will also help you understand why it's important for the plant to receive Co2, fresh air, and to regulate your atmosphere as well as your light * growing mediums.

Damn I forgot the water ;) If your a nob get that book "Grower's Bible by Jorge Cervantes" you will not be sorry! You can find it used online for about 1/2 price.

Peace out

Speaking of water, always ALWAYS use Reverse Osmosis water when available. RO systems are worth their weight in stable PH levels & killer buds! A good investment in an RO system will never be wasted. You can take in fresh water & your plants will love it more than you ever know.

These arseholes as you put it... sometime disclose perfect info. It can be noobs/arseholes ;) like yourself repeating the obvious and thats been posted 1000 times before and appears in the FAQ guide that turns em into arseholes. :)

Any type of filter system is better than none, but a RO is the best. I use a UV filter system for my well water, which works awesome for both human & plant consumption.

LOL! I've found it hard sometimes to search RIU & find something specific without having to read a bunch of worthless posts. So I can see why repeated post are necessary.

Peace out

Huh? i dont understand? are you saying people post redundant comments? online? really? no wai!

EDIT: Nice try editing arseholes to nobs! lol, We caught ya!

Ph has been my #1 problem also, I recently got a $30 Ph tester & wow no more droopy leaves. I checked the spring water I was using (Ph was almost 8.0) yea someone told me to use spring water when they should have told me to get a Ph tester.

If you can swing it, get a RO system. Here is the one that I have had for a year now & it's still working outstandingly: 0PPM Portable 100G Reverse Osmosis RO+DI Water Filter

It is definitely worth the $79 price+shipping. :D
