Tips of Leaves turning bright yellow/ gold..burnt possibly?

i have my 4 ft tall ladies about two feet away from the bulb, they have been loving the light for the most part. However i woke up one morning to find the tips of some of the higher leaves turning a golden colour. The yellow part of the leave feels dry and looks like it may have burnt :( is the heat the problem? or could it be a nutrient burn or a low ph level or something. please see the attached pics, and give any help you can.

ya my plant is burnt on tips also so i stopped giving it fertilizer and moved the lights back. suggestions

definatly the heat. well most likely the heat.

if its just the top leaves your plants are too close to the 1000 watter. Raise the light a foot.
