tip for new/first time soil growers

I'm not sure how many people know this or use this in their routines already but I don't see it mentioned often enough to new growers. A great way to stimulate growth and keep your plant healthy is Aeration, supplying air to the root system by making small tunnels into the soil makes the plant happy. I do this within hours after watering while the soil is moist but not freshly watered. Using a pencil gently push and spin down then in toward the center, stop when you can't easily push the pencil through, that resistance is probably a root so be careful.

I do this after every watering and ever since adding this to my routine my plants have been much happier and healthier.

Nice tip, Ill give it a go.

I actually did that once on my other first grow when my plants were outside and the temperature dropped very low and It had rained allot that day.
They looked very bad, but a few holes in the soil (and bringing them inside) made them much happier.

I would be concerned about the pencil catching on the roots and ripping them.

I am constantly in my yard. I'm a Gardener! So when I see a worm anywhere I just pick it up and put it in my soil..

It's effortless. The Worms do the work for me. You can even buy them if you honestly want it to be Natural..

They also make air pots.. So you don't need to do anything..

i have read and heard air pots are very good for aeration i have me 2 i am gonna use once i get going never heard or read 1 bad thing about air pots neat little trick you do though might give that a go also
