Tincture question.

Hey everyone, I've never used or bought a tincture before so I was hoping someone on here could help. One of my questions is if you can add a tincture to a drink and just drink it instead of putting it on your tongue. I'm making a hemp ale for 420 and I was gonna add the tincture when I'm bottling the beer. Would this work, or can you only use a tincture on your tongue? And I don't know which one I should get, a dispensary near me has a 1/2 oz bottle of 20x liquid thc for $36 and they also have a 1 oz bottle of 4x liquid thc for $30. Is there a big difference between 4x and 20x? Which one do you guys think would be better for something like this?

I am about try a tincture in a few days for the first time. So I can't speak from experience, but I have been doing some reading. You can put the tincture in or on any food or drink and it will work. It has already been decarboxylated. However it is meant to be taken sublingually and I believe it would hit you harder is you took it under your tongue and left it for a few seconds. But if you are putting it in beer I would just make sure you have them roll the bottle like they do with blue moons to get all that sediment stirred up before drinking. That way it is evenly dosed and spans the effect over the whole beer. Also there are alcohol based and glycerin based tinctures. Personally, as someone who enjoys beer, I wouldn't want a good beer with an undertone of ever clear. You might even look it up to see if one works better mixing with beer. As for what is the difference between x4 and x20, I haven't the foggiest idea.

Is beer your favorite beverage?
If so than I say do it.

I've made tinctures using everclear and powdered bud/top leaves. Left it together for a couple weeks in a closet. I used a shot in a glass of orange juice. Nice high with a little alcohol buzz.

I'd think the 20x would be better (higher concentration) and looks like a better deal financially too. Have fun...

Yeah I was leaning towards the 20x or the 10x, which I just discovered that they have. I wanted the levels of alcohol and thc to be more even so would the 10x be better?

I think you're over-complicating things. The higher concentration 20x might have more THC but less alcohol. No biggie...just have a shot of Cuervo Gold...

Yea I love making thc infused sodas and such

I mix my glycerin and vodka (with vodka not evaporated) tinctures together and add it to my tea at night. It will hit you quicker under the tongue, but still hits in a drink too
