Times a Changing

I remember when I first said to my self I will grow my own. Had no idea what to do. I turned to High Times for some knowledge There w/ Jorge Cervantes
with his Q&A's I learned about Hydroponics. Then I went to over grow right before they went down. Then I began to lurk on RIU and have really enjoyed
this site. But I have seen changes since I have been here but that happens
as we live our lives. I'm just saying the old RIU was pretty cool and was very
intertaining. But whos to say these younger stoners just might be as cool.

I know what you mean. It seems there have been a lot of mean spirited people posting lately. Instead of trying to help each other out they just was to argue and be sarcastic.

i think ive noticed alot of agression in the toke n talk section becasue theres alot of oppinons goin around n not everyone agrees with them n this is a good place for people to speak openly on how they feel with out any serious consequenses so thats why theres alot of argueing. at times it definitly takes away the joy of being in the fourms but other times its somewhat consturctive....two cents

grow the chronic Dro.... W.T.F. Please let us humble growers in on your growing secrets.

Personally, as a new grower, I have found RIU an incredibly helpful source of advice and resources. I think much depends on the individual reader - sure, there are a few people who are really negative and disparaging but that shouldn't take away from the huge number of people who know a lot about growing and are willing to share their experiences. I guess as more people enter the forum, readers should be more discerning about what advice to take. Ultimately I believe that the underlying spirit of this forum is one of goodwill and a wish to be helpful and nobody should allow a few negative posts to detract from that.
