time for quickest photo strains

Trying to decide on photos or autos. Leaning towards autos cause some of them are really fast.

How long do the quicker photo strains take? Any specific photo strains anyone can suggest that finish quickly?

When I look at the seed web sites, I see some flower in as as short as 7 weeks. Does that mean about 12 weeks from seed to harvest? Can you force a plant to flower that soon?

That's an auto. I'm indecisive and I'm trying to figure out if I should go with photo strains for better quality or autos for speed. I'm trying to figure out how much longer photos would take to mature.

Well, the 60 day autos can take up to 70 from seed. You could try 12/12 from seed and that may get you about the same yield. If your in a medical state we can buy clones which really only need a couple weeks of veg and then 8 weeks of flowering, they also have "teens" and "mothers" which are ready to flower off the bat, but they run $30-60, not much considering the cost of electricity here.

Also, don't dismiss the 60day wonder immediately, my understanding is that DNA genetics did a pretty good job with them. May not be a bad way to go when getting started. Personally, I have not run any autos yet since clones are so damn easy to get.

Every one I know using autos burned out on them after a couple runs.

Purple Erkle finished for me in 50 days, Blueberry in about 55 days.
C99 finished pretty quick for me too.

I like to pick when the trichomes are big and swollen, not necessarily cloudy.
Amber is degraded/rotten.
