Timbergrow COB lights

So what hes saying is, the numbers for their lights are made up based manufacturing specs. Kinda what I'm getting.
Perhaps for some, these lights are a tad early for market? Maybe once testing is concluded people may get excited? Depending on the results I may even buy one?

I'll never buy a prebuilt light. I jus dont see paying a ton extra for someone else's labor. When you buy each part and have half their price in it. With a little time. Not saying that prebuilt grow lights arent needed. Bc they are. Some people dont have the background or knowledge to build one themselves. And that where companies like timber step in and fill the void. But myself being able to build my own. I just can see paying timber almost double what it would cost me to build the same light. But then again to me my labor is free. Other than time.

Yep a home built lighting system would be fun too! I needed a decent light for a bench mark. Now that I think I have one that looks like it will be in my near future. I would like to build some 12 x24 inch racks for table greens! And to start seedlings for the greenhouse etc.

She isn't the troll here. You are, with your willingness to dispense misinformation that could really hurt someone's grow. You focus on the new growers, who have the least experience and the most to lose. Your deliberate selection of the most vulnerable audience is not just trolling, it is active malice.

Everything c2g said is true. That is why you are reduced to projecting trollery onto her. You're here specifically to injure new growers.

Actually I think a side by side flower with an HPS, COB and Strip by a very good grower would be instructive. I am NOT that grower LOL
Agreed. Most side by sides I've witnessed turn into a shit show. People bagging the O.P. because It's not scientific enough,or shooting holes in the comparison for other outliers or variables. lol. There's always something picked out to discount the side by side.
For a bunch of "stoners" people are really aggressive with their point of view and theories.

Good Morning,

I wanted to mention that Subcool is doing a side by side with our Redwood VS and his 1k DE lights (on Instagram) and Jeremy at Build A Soil has just completed a side by side Redwood TS which out yielded a 315w CMH + 400 watt Vero kit. Results also available on Instagram.

As always - any questions let me know - happy to help.

Have a good weekend.

Best Regards
Dan

The Redwood TS is a $1000.00 light. I would certainly for your sake hope like hell it would outperform 600 dollars worth of 315 and 400 Vero.

It's also a 600W light vs 715+W of the CMH/Vero combo. Run for 12 hours a day all year long, that can be anywhere from a $50 to $150 in energy savings every year.

IMO that's the whole point of LEDs. That and less heat issues.

By the time you make up the 400 dollar difference in price the light will be at the end of its life and need to be replaced.

There is no savings. And the temperature difference is so small its irrelevant.

Meanwell drivers have an expected lifetime of well over 10 years. The COBs can be replaced / upgraded within minutes for $10-$25 each if necessary.

To some of us, efficiency matters for several reasons.

Whatever, you focus on disproving other people, your claim to fame is being a dick.

You talk about disproving people.
That is a cardinal and revealing mistake.

One can disprove people's ideas and show them wrong. But one cannot prove or disprove a person, except in some narcissistic zero-sum fantasy wherein the Net is a battlefield, and you gain nothing without taking it from others.

That is why you think it is important to come into the grow fora with the blustery affect of authority (but based on inexperience!) and give new growers bad advice. You're stealing karma, or something. Then when you encounter members who know how to grow and reveal your advice as bad, you project your hostile evil onto them, saying we are the trolls.

I focus on disproving your claims and "theories" when they are wrong. I'm looking out for the newer grower who might consider taking your advice to his or her detriment.

To you, that is what being a dick is. In that case, I wear my dickdom with pride.

I haven't seen Old Thcool trying to hand out bad advice to new growers? To what bad advice are you referring?
