subtool is the last guy i'd let talk about my products to an audience. hes so stupid and dishonest
Hi @lukio,

With the exception of a select few folks here on RIU, we do not do product placement, and in the cases where we do, we encourage the grower to use the light and when finished to donate it to another grower, passing it forward.

Subcool purchased his lights from us and is being kind enough to mention us in some of his posts - we appreciate it when any of our customers are willing to do so.

Have a good day.

Best Regards,
Dan

I haven't seen Old Thcool trying to hand out bad advice to new growers? To what bad advice are you referring?
This following quote isn't so much bad advice as destructive and antisocial behavior. This is not ordinary name-calling but an action that is materially detrimental to all who depend on discreet seed shipment.

Well the germination rate of Ocean Grown ( Lumberjack) is 100 percent so far. It will be fun to see how they do! Took 3 weeks from day of order to cross the Yankee line and land in my mailbox. Packaged as playing cards! Souvenirs!

How is it destructive, anti-social, and detrimental to those who depend on discretion? Because he identified the packaging used to obscure the contents? It is no secret that seedbanks disguise shipments in souvenirs such as t-shirts, coffee mugs, etc. I can't understand how mentioning a deck of cards could be harmful to anyone. It's not as if all playing cards shipped into the country will now be examined and siezed, simply because Old Thcool made a post on RiU. Perhaps I'm missing your point?

Every mention of such methods being used generates a digital datum. Those data are then there to be used by any agency with enough data processing power, which is quickly becoming any agency. Your attempt to downplay the level of the disservice done makes me wonder what your angle is in this.

And as every single address is scanned and stored, you can bet your car keys on the fact that any pack of cards coming from that address is now flagged for a closer look.

So yes. In such an environment he performed a destructive act. Yet you are seeking to obfuscate that fact.

So you think that because Old Thcool mentioned Lumberjack, the Feds have suddenly put them on their radar? As if they had never been mentioned before? If the Feds are as deep into weed forums as you think they are, I can guarantee you that they already have the addresses of every seedbank, that they already know shipments from those addresses contain seeds (regardless of the packaging), and that it wouldn't take a comment about playing cards to make them take a closer look. Your are drastically overstating the ramifications of a simple comment. And to say that the comment was antisocial? Huh? You make the assumption that he believes as you do regarding the oversight of a hostile government, but that he simply doesn't care. Even if the comment were as "destructive" as you seem to believe, why would you not assume that it was simply an excited grower talking about the exciting package they just received? Why do you assume ill-intent? Do you police the entire forum, telling other members not to speak of the packaging they receive from seedbanks? Because there are plenty of peeps "letting the secret out". By your logic, no one here should ever make any mention of any seedbank, in any way, because regardless of the souvenir packaging, the nebulous, shadowy "agency" you fear would be intelligent enough to understand that seedbanks ship seeds. As for my "angle", it's nothing more than common sense. And I'm not the one who's obfuscating.

You changed his argument and advanced a straw man attack on him. He said that mentioning the specific type of stealth coupled with the seedbank's name rendered that method of stealth unusable by that seedbank. Potentially costing other users of that bank to experience seed confiscation and the bank to have to invest in another method of fulfillment.

There have been many complaints by those who have experienced seed confiscation because some loudmouth know-it-all on the internet had to out the bank's particular method of stealth. It's simply lack of caring about any one else's experience.

Finally this place is owned by the NSA.

I do not assume ill intent. I observed it in that user and have commented accordingly.

As for my logic ... my logic is demonstrably other than the straw man you raised here. This shows that you are a dishonest interlocutor, so a troll like your friend Old Thcool.

Based upon the user's passing out knowledge freely to indoor growing newbies without ever mentioning the caveat he hasn't grown a plant indoors then, when called out, waffles about helping his friends, then calls 1978 brick weed seed pre Paraquat. I think his intentions are clear.

By 1976 Paraquat spraying was heavily in use. Then again I was actually there.

Why is it every forum I go to, it seems there is always SOME type of arguement? I know for a fact most of you are just passive aggressive dudes who want to argue to get your mental jag on.

I thought arguing was reserved for animals who can actually DO something (physically) about it lol. My bad.

Some people don't think the way you do, don't argue about it.
