I'm not sure how you think the price of mmj has been artificially low? Where? If the grower is making a profit and the seller is making a profit, and the customers happy-the price is just right. I'm sure most would have no problem forking over the 5% gst if they weren't risking arrest. The black market has been, is and will continue to be populated by growers of all stripes- from mom & pop to organized crime. That isn't going to change no matter what rules are in place for medical. Their clientele is primarily the recreational user, not the patients. Do they sell to CC's? Absolutely. Did they and are they still making a healthy profit? Absolutely. Would they continue to exist after legalization? Absolutely not. The black market is a product of an oppressive government prohibition, and the CC's exist as a result of the lack of access to legal meds. I am having a hard time taking your patriotism rant seriously. There is a quick solution to all those lost tax dollars, and it won't come by giving LP's the sole right to grow. What should be of utmost concern to every Canadian, especially someone as proud as you, is the undemocratic, antiquated policies of our dictatorial government. Proud Tilray customer for life? That's a little over the top for a company that is only a year old, has a spotty track record at best and may or may not even exist in 6 months. You're not fooling anybody here.

You might say, "well, they're the exact same thing", and I'll say " yes they might be but the medical is GUARANTEED to be of a certain purity, consistency, and potency, for which it needs to be grown and packaged professionally and in a regulated standardized way. You can make your own whiskey at home probably, but you don't because you don't want to go blind or die... This is the same thing . "

Black market weed has been steady in price , but i really don't care about it because its not medical marijuana. Get it?

During the mmar when there was no requirement to have your "medical marijuana" tested, did you hear about people dropping dead? Or how about the centuries before anyone ever called pot "medical marijuana"?

With a little knowledge, and a little experience anyone can grow themselves all the quality pot they need.

The whole laboratory big pharma bs is smoke and mirrors, designed to give the LP's a aura of legitimacy and high tech, while ensuring the government holds the cards to their futures. As redi jedi said, us mmar patients have all managed to do just fine without lab testing. In fact, I haven't heard of anyone dying from smoking non-LP weed in my many decades of smoking. My garden has never had a recall and I have never had to irradiate my meds. Lets see Tilray and the others do that for two or three years and then they may have some credibility.

I have a BM connection.
I felt that I had no choice in the matter. Who did I know, where I live, that would sell me good stuff and not charge me an arm and a leg?
When I talked with my doctor he told me only about the LPs, so who was I know any different?
So I did my research, called all the 1-800's, compared info and all that bullshit. And found out that I didn't have a choice either in 'picking' my licensed producer. Tilray was the only one accepting scripts at the time, had product available and could vaguely say how long it would take.
then after waiting a few weeks I ordered my first bag. I didn't know any differences at the time so I felt that even though the price was higher than I wanted to pay (read: paying more than BM or street. So not artificially inflated. Any moron can look at reports from the states and see that we are still cheaper than them.)

I don't use tilray or BM. I don't like either. Price, customer service, delivery cost, product quality is the order it seems that these companies rank as priority.

And you know what? I totally feel like I was forced into getting a prescription for my cannabis.

I am so weary and tired of the bull shit and I'm only a baby in the system!!

It's more of a "arrest you and throw you in jail until we can go over all your transmittal information, call your producer to verify your prescription and you better hope to god its between 9-5. Haven't smoked any lp meds that are as good as some stuff I've found on the bm. Is your medical condition oral diarrhea? Cause there's a ton of nonsensical bull shit coming out of your mouth at all times. Like seriously where do you get your info? How could meds be priced artificially low when it costs roughly a dollar a gram to grow in any setting. If you say well you don't know how much it costs for an lp to grow then I'm probably gonna puke. Do you know what volume is ? Yeah they're running all these lights and nutes and blah blah. Well guess what? The pot under those lights pays for it all. Have you ever bought weed for less than a dollar a gram? Artificially underpriced. LOfuckingL.
