Tighter Nodes

ive grown to find out that veg. stage is JUST AS important as the flower stage.

i know that the blue spectrum helps a lot with tighter nodes (space inbetween each leaf break/grow site).

what im trying to ask is, is there any other techs. that help the new colas have tighter and closer nodes to the leaf/grow site/main stem break?

im thinkin the best way is to use white cfls and have them as close as possible to the nodes i wish to be tighter.

TIGHTER NODES = BIGGER/MORE BUD DURING FLOWER CYCLE

If you really want tight nodes get yourself an aquarium metal halide used for corals in the 10,000k spectrum. Its indigo in color. 24 hour veg period will keep nodes tighter and clones will make things tighter still. : )

fluoros are cheap but make more heat per watt than HID's. something to consider as you can get the bulb closer for intensity which also is important for bushy plants.

the stretch calms down the first few weeks of flower with clones compared to seed born plants.

I'm trying 24/0 lights on in veg for the first time and the nodes are insanely tight! This is with 400w MH. I'm switching to 23/1 today to hopefully get some stretch. If that's not enough i'll switch it to 22/2 or 21/3 so they're not abnormally tight.
