Tib420's - First Indoor - Closet Grow

Hello RIU Growers,

I've been a member here for awhile, mostly doing outdoor grows. I've been lurking for awhile on the indoor forms and decided to try a closet grow. I'm making this thread to get help from indoor growers. WILL POST PICS soon

My space is 4' length X 2' width X 5' high. I'm running a 400 watt MH/HPS with a 400 watt ballast. I have a twin window fan with both fans running exhaust and a oscillating stand fan. My temps are at a steady 84 F and 42% humidity. A lil high in temp, but it's honestly the best I can do. I'm using a humidifier as well.

I used a cup of water and stuck em in a dresser drawer with 100% germination. They are under my 400 W light which is non-cooled, just a metal reflector. I'm using the MH bulb. ( any advice on if I should use the HPS to lower the temp please!) My seeds are from HighGrade seeds. I'm using the mix seeds from their super strains. They seem to be growing quite well for right now, but they've only just sprouted out of the soil. (I'm using Fox farm ocean forest and will use big bloom in week 2 or 3) :bigjoint:

That's all for now......I'll post pics in a little bit.

I figured it out.

NEW PICS!

1 - Plants - Cartman, Eazy-T, Ganja, and Nanja
2 - my 400 watt light with a MH bulb
3 - outside of my stealth closet grow
4 - Temp & Humidity. (I moved my shelf up to about 14" and now the temp shot up to 88 F and 29% humidity) Is this okay? or should I move to 24" away from the light?
5 - my in-line fan for fresh air.
6 - my exhaust fan. it's a twin fan for the window and I have both set for exhaust. ( there are two holes in the sheet behind it.)

hmm, bump. Plants are doing well, I'm keeping the temp steady at 83 F and 40% humidity. I'll be taking my grow to another forum soon. This one seems kinda dead or uneducated for indoor. outdoor growers were a lot more helpful

Update: 1/30/2010

I added CO2 generator. By mixing up water, yeast, and sugar. I also transplanted 3 of the 4 plants into 2 gal. containers. I may transplant again before flowering, but only time will tell.

Can somebody let me know how my plants are doing for 9 days old?

Here are pics:

Thanks for the reply!

Seems like your coy's are yellowing a lot faster than mine. You may want to check your soil or water for ph level. I'd watch em for a few days, make sure the yellowing doesn't spread to the top leaves cuz then you'll really have a problem with watering or lack of nitrogen.

Happy growin!

It could of changed it by a little bit and if you gave it thorough watering with to high or to low of ph it can cause wilting n yellowing in your plants. Shouldn't be to hard to fix, just wait till they dry out and use balanced water around 6-6.5 ph

Thanks for the reply, diagnosedashigh. I hope it goes amazing all the way through. These super strains are suppose to produce some nice bud and I'm doing a mix of em'. 3 look sativa and 1 looks indica. I'm using Fox farm ocean forest for soil and I'm keeping it organic with only big bloom and maybe some powder nutes during flowering. It's all about giving the plants a balanced enviorment. This also helps produce more females.

Thanks Jboard. They seem to be doing great for my first grow. They just produced their 3rd set of leaves. They went from 3 leaf blades straight to 5, so I must be doing something right? Hope all goes well with your grow.
