thunderstorm!!!!!

Hey guys, I was hanging out with my plants today and it was pouring out. A very large thunderstorm was lurking. I heard a loud bang followed by a spark sound. My lights went out on my babies(4-5 days old) after about 15 seconds of darkness the lights turned back on.

yesterday I put them on 18/6.

1.) how bad did I stress my little ones?

2.) what can I do, without buying a generator, to ensure this won't happen again because in my area thunderstorms in the summer are somtimes an every day thing for a good 2 hours at 3 o clock.

I hope they will be okay because this is my first attempt and hope I do not have to start over.

15 seconds of darkness during veg isn't going to do shit to your plants. I wouldn't worry too much unless you lose power all the time

You going to need to lose power for at least 12 hours at a time to do ANY kind of damage to your plants. 15 seconds the plants don't care unless its going on 12 hours, it takes 12 hours of dark for the auxins in the plant to build up to a sufficient level to cause flowering.

I get days of clouds where my outdoor plant only gets anywhere from 0 to 8 hours of actual sunlight. Even that doesn't really harm my plant. Though I wouldn't say it's good for it.

It's neutral.

If you want just a couple of minutes worth of backup power then a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) for a computer would probably be your best bet, it monitors when power goes out and automatically switches to the rechargeable battery. You can get a decent one for $50-$100 and they sell them all over the place.
