Theres a few factors into this

but first and foremost we always need to know what device youre using

Clearing your cache can help

Some factors to take into consideration are

Your device
your download speed/internet
The photo itself and our server.

Thanks. iOS on an iPhone 13. Internet is generally very fast, though this has been consistent regardless of connection.

youre actually downloading them? or just opening the thumbnail?

try exiting the thumbnail and "reopening" it see if that works

I dont have any issues on my mac, my custom pc, my iphone, or my ipad. but i might not be looking at the exact photo any of you are link me an actual photo response from somewhere that is causing issue

click this little web thing for me, hit copy and copy to me what post is causing you issues

Not downloading just going into the forum T&T toke and talk music videos all barely load up. Or going into @curious2garden food thread pictures just load super slow. I cleared cache also.

The larger issue here is users uploading pictures directly from their phones, etc. with no consideration of size.

A 5 MB or larger image is not going to look any better on a screen that something in the less than 1 MB range @ 1000 to 1200 pixels wide..

Not everyone has blazing fast internet, eh ?

Cheers

so not thumbnails but actual inserted photos? that is different then the ops request about thumbnails who said clearing his cache worked, can you try clearing your cache

i dont mean to sound picky but with tech things i need very specific specifics, and correct wording for things or i cant figure it out to fix it since im not having any problems, its tech support over text andeveryone has different devices,

I understand and you're busy it's actually photos when I go to forums they load really slow or videos of YouTube in forums there a bunch of them in one and they take a bit of time to fully load up to play. I cleared my cache I'm on a tablet android.

Thanks for any help. Lately, when I click on thumbnails to enlarge the photo, it can take minutes for the photo to resolve. Seems like a fairly new thing. Any suggestions? Appreciated.
Mine started this a couple of days ago. I'm thinking somewhere in the internet one or more nodes went down. I've seen this happen before. It's probably not on your end.
