Thrips, Raid fogger, O.K.?

I noticed an infestation of little bugs recently in my flowering room, I posted a thread about it and,
I have Narrowed them down to thrips.. After using Go Gnats, Safe soap, Shultz insect spray and Ortho organic, I have come the realization that I'm not going get rid of these bugs with spray alone. They keep comming back. I picked up Fumigator Fogger by Raid today, a three pack of them. The active ingredient is Permethrin. Althought it contains a stagering 12.6%, I'm still going to use it. I feel sorry for anyone who smokes this weed, But I have no choice. I have to kill these bastards before I loose my fucking mind and my fuckin crop. My concern isn't losing the ones close to harvest (i'm flushing them now), but the ones I have just started flowering and the ones that have been flowering for about a month are the problem. Any experiance with this fogger will be grately appreaciated. thanks

any updates? are you still alive?

I think Permethrin is the same stuff in a pet flea dip, like frontline, but I'm not sure.

I'd do it. Would be 100% effective in killing them compared to spot removal and sprays you do yourself. I'd spray them with clean water a couple times afterwards that shit is poisonous wouldnt want to smoke it...

I sincerely hope you didn't use that crap and then expect to sell the weed. That shit is toxic and a possible carcinogen. If you carried out your plan it leaves you in the same category as the "Butcher of bahgdad" - poisoning your own.
Good luck sleeping with that dip-shit.

damn greatwhitenorth take it easy on him lol maybe he doesnt realize how bad that shit is. i had thrips and used pyrethrum to get rid of them, 100% effective and as long as you do it a few weeks before harvest its ok because it decomposes into organic material that falls off. with your raid fogger, im pretty sure permethrin is some brutal shit that will kill your bugs. and you. please for the love of god at least dont use it on the ones that are about to be harvested! even if it was pyrethrum it would still be bad to use that late into flowering!

scratch that its a pyrethroid. uh ya. just dont use it on your plants that are further along than a few weeks flowering and they should be fine.

    Getcrunk Well-Known Member

They will be fine unless you're late in flowering! Just make sure to spray them down a couple times aftewards.

I did a google initially (http://www.pesticideinfo.org/Detail_Chemical.jsp?Rec_Id=PC35397) & thats where I got my info, now I see that Cervantes is an advocate of its use - however I have yet to see where anyone positively says it safe to smoke buds " XX " amount of days after flushing.
Long and short of the conversation is his statement " I'm still going to use it. I feel sorry for anyone who smokes this weed". What this tells me is he's more concerned with his bank account than the health of friends & family and I find that despicable.
    }}Nutshell, he believed it was bad and did it regardless of the impact on others.{{

I refuse to pass on that sort of Karma, I respect others too much to poison them.

Listen to me...do not use Raid fogger...anytime.That's insane.

In my opinion, the raid permethrin fogger is safe in vegetation. They use this chemical safely on commercial farms, poultry farms, and people (for the treatment of head lice). However, it is still rated as a human carcinogen, so I'd keep it away from the flowers.

im kinda at a loss as to why greatwhitenorth thinks this is like using mustard gas on humans, but i guess ignorance is bliss in that case. its a little late, but heres a guide to tomatoes, and its still harmless if used BEFORE 21days of your plants finishing.

If you grow tomatoes, you'd do well to keep permethrin insecticide on hand because it controls a number of different insects without damaging tomato plants. It is considered an organic insecticide and is relatively safe if you use it according to the label instructions. Many different brands of tomato insecticides contain permethrin, but they may contain more toxic active ingredients as well, so read the labels carefully before choosing a product.

heres the link to the site.
