I always prefer to grow out doors. The sun is the best grow light in the world. The winter is a different matter. I grow 2 to 3 foot plants under cfls then set them outside for that natural budding to take place.

I was under the impression that people grow inside because they don't have the ability grow outdoors, not vice versa. Oh well, didn't take pics of them flowering, but here's a little patch of weedplants that I put almost no efort into at all and yielded some potent smoke. Mid veg, they're still looking scrawney and just starting their growth spurt. The third pic is a little autoflowering bagseed that never got above 14 inches...Wish my camera took decent closeups, about 3 weeks before I cut it .Still got me stoned like the big girls, and it was nice to have some bud ready that early!

P.S.-The one plant that is yellowing in the top-view pic was transplanted into the garden 2 weeks prior. Sativa dominant that is STILL in my garden now, Dec. 6th. Looking like she'll be ready in a week or so, trics are getting cloudy.

This was my first outdoor grow in years, seed from a friend that has been growing cali orange for about 5 years. this pic is a week after a 29 degree night. Beautiful, I think.

2011 is going to be a different story. growing my legal maximum (20 cut to 10 by September 1st) And I'm aiming for bigguns, the effort should be worth it.

Guess what I'm about to do! Haha, kinda late in the season to harvest, but sativa dominant flowering traits + SoCal weather makes for a December plant. 12/16/10

Some tools of the trade and a tiny branch...big ones are gonna be a bitch!

And of course, a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down

Wow Meta,
Props for hanging in there!
I had a Sativa from a buddy's last years seed that was just starting to flower in november...... :(
I couldn't wait. I pulled a 4 footer to save it from a frosty death.
