i appreciate the ideas. Im not on top off everything thats for sure...I let my mothers get to big in my veg room. I need to build another room. I will be swinging the hammer soon...okay thats a lie, I have a nail gun...or two.
 
everyone's system could use a few tweaks here and there... the difference is, your system is available for all of us to look at.
im sure i would do well to tear out everything i have and start over... im too bloody high all the time to put such a plan into motion though.

id love to have a vertical grow like this, but i don't want to grow hydro. ive never used water pumps or a resorvoir, but it seems like you would have to even if you were using dirt. i was thinking i could just build shelves to put the plants on, but i would have to have some sort of drip system.

have you ever seen a vertical grow with dirt?
 
yeah, but not on RIU. Ive seen vertical PVC tubes in an octagon setup, and the tubes are filled with soil. So the tubes are runing up and down, not horizontal. The nutes are fed into the tubes in 2 or 3 spots in each tube. If you put them on shelves im sure you could get it to work, but im just not down for soil in my house...hydro is sooo simple...just plug and play.
 
im a big fan of the flavor i get from soil...

hydro is faster to mature, and bigger in less time for veg, from what ive heard
 
im feeling defeated. i got back from my trip and found my buds are seeding. the temps were fine while i was gone, but the temps were up there during the first couple weeks. Im thinking stress. not sure what to do, keep growing or start over...stupid heat.

I guess i dont really have a choice. Its going to take a few weeks to get clones rooted and vegged...Im on track for another grow in 4 weeks...just bums me out.

ive had to pull perfectly healthy plants before cuz of a walk thru
but hey u learn from ur mistakes

Ouch that sucks. Finish it off and then start over. Some seeds wouldn't make me kill a whole crop. No way. Try and find the hermi and kill that.
 
unfortunatley i cant find one that hasnt turned yet. they all are starting, some should have finished seeds in a couple days. It kinda ironic that the first "big" grow i do goes to seeds...maybe i jinxed myself with the screen name.
 
lol no offense but that is ironic as all hell finish it out though man fine tune it all now that way next time..ya got it dialed
 
I knew my temps were all over the place in the first 2 weeks, so i watched for this. But when I left the plants they were great and I saw no signs of seeds. then I get back and they are coming on heavy. Im going to give them 3 more weeks and go with some Banana OG and Blue Dream Haze. lesson learned - fluctuating temps are no good.
 
still man, that is a cool ass set up. just read whole thread. you need a magnetic secret door lock for that shit right there, its like the batcave
 
one cool thing about this setup is I dont need a secret door or locks. Its just a closet from the outside. Its sound proof, and almost air tight. Im over the fact that i dont have sensi any more, its still herb.
