This is how I grow.

Everything I do is trial and error and in soil, indoors.

My wife starts the seed and does a good job so I don't give that part much thought.

I don't use pots. I use bags. That has made a huge difference.

I use a soil called Fafard. It is a lot like Fox Farm but without nutrients.

Vegatative: Right off I add regular Miracle grow tomato plant food with a lot of nitrogen.

After that I water and use Fox Farm Big Grow and Big Bloom. I am sure I use too much but it doesn't seem to hurt and might even help. The lights never go off.

The vegetative room has just one 48" t5 4 bulb (6500k) light fixture. I pay no attention to how long the plants are in vegetative but leave them there until they are well past the necessary height to move them.

The flowering room has three of the same kind of light setups as vegetative does. (2900k 1200 watts all together) The middle one is higher than the two on the sides. The two on the sides are slanted down slightly to hit flowers on the bottom as well. In flowering I use Fox Farm Tiger Bloom Big Bloom and black strap molasses. . I leave plants in flowering until at least 60% of the buds are amber. One of the things I have noticed about flowering is that the plants need lots of water and a little nitrogen when the leaves start to die. I don't know how others do it but my buds come out better if I can keep the plants mostly green all the way to harvest and it takes a lot of water and sometimes some nitrogen. I have used less light but in flowering lots of lights seems to help a lot.
Superthrive helps in all stages.
I am sharing this because I am starting to get really good results. Lately I have had white on the leaves that is visible without a magnifying glass or a whole lot of life.

I am always looking for tips but wouldn't do anything to completely re-tool, 80% as good as the very best, is good enough for me, All of this is a medical grow. Nothing enters or leaves the house. Be kind to Mom, Pop and Grandparents. Infused oil will lengthen their lives. Teach them to grow, We are old. I guarantee the stuff works, probably beyond expectations. Stoners are fine but we are old and grow for our health.

Instead of the MG, try some Earth Worm Castings. 2 inches on top of the soil will make a big difference in my experience.

I would ditch the MG ....if you have grow big that will get you through all the way to the second week or so of flower ....then back it off slowly until your using just bloom nutes ....keeps plants nice and green until late flower when a little fade isn't guna hurt anything .....I myself after many many years of growing like my plants to fade ......but MG isn't necessary when you have nutes made for MJ already accessible ....also ammend with lime to help ....GL hope this helps or makes sense

i have seen 6-8ft plants with just miricle grow and them in the ground. it does work lol
Nobody is saying thay Miracle Gro doesnt work. It works just fine. MG gets a bad rep because its owned by (The evil corporation) Monsanto. Also, the MG soils come with time release nutrients that overload your plants with N later in their lives when they dont need it, supposedly leading to a harsh smoke.
As far as outdoor plants go, ive seen 8 footers grown guerilla style with zero nutes...

And i wont disagree with you on the fact they are a shit company. I agree it can overload your plants down the road, due to time release. But with anything moderation and control is key. I just think sometimes people spending 300-400$ and more on a line of nutrients is just pointless. As most of the shit in a lot of them you can get yourself cheap as dirt.

Haha yeah man, outdoors will grow some crazy trees. Sun and some water lol
