Third Grow and new to the site

Hi All.
My wife and I have completed two grows recently, second grow is in cure stage in jars right now. We brought home three new strains last night. (2) AK-47, (2) OG Kush and (2) Blackberry Kush.

First grow 6 plants yielded approx. 294g
Second grow 6 plants yielded approx. 433g

Getting better. First grow product quality was good, flavor a bit earthy and heavy. Didn't hang long enough
Second grow we have not tested as it's still in cure stage.

Third grow stats:
Ocean forest soil. We'll be switching to Happy Frog soon (suggested by professional grower in my area)
Worm castings
Perlite

Lights:
CFL w/two 150w HPS
Lots and lots of lights

Nutes:
Botanicare
Aza Max
Compost tea
Cal Mag
Liquid Karma if needed...yum

Water is Reverse Osmosis

The pictures attached are from our second grow that is jars right now, just a couple of samples.

Thanks D, those are in jars now waiting to be loved. I'm really sad the six I brought home last night are in shock right now from the transplant.

The new babies have popped back and are looking good again. I hate the first couple of days.

Current temp 82.3 dgrees
RH lingering at a low 22%, added a second humidifier to increase the RH.
Running 1/2 lighting right now until the girls get a little bigger. We'll go full light in about 3-5 days. Half lighting means two over head, two side lights and two middle lights. In a few days we'll add 4 more floor lights and two 150HPS at 45 degree angles to the ends. Lots and lots of lights. With the CFL's I can control my heat easier. Very low technology here at home. Moving about 150CFM of air, the overall dimension of the room is 10' x 20', with the grow area 4' x 8'.

I forgot to mention in our stats we're using a passive Co2 system from the hydro store. Co2 in a bag; we used it on the first and second grow. It's light activated. Pretty cool stuff.

Good Morning All, Day three of veg with our new babies. All is well in the room. The girls will need a drink this morning.

We are on 24 hour lighting for the next 8 or so weeks.

Room temp at 79.6 degrees
RH @ 28% and rising

We'll be sampling the meds from our second grow today also. They hung dry for 5 days and have been in jars for three days. We'll take a little taste.

The girls are all showing a lot of new growth. I've been watering in the morning, but will be switching my watering schedule to evenings. I foliar watered this morning to get them through the day so I can water tonight.

I plan on topping all the ladies by weeks end to encourage more tops. During our second grow we topped the two sativas and were very pleased with the results. Again all, this is only our third grow so we're still very much noobies. We won't be getting too crazy with topping and training. We'll top, trim and prune for a healthy and vigorous grow.

My wife and I sampled our meds from our second grow yesterday. Very very very pleased with our product. We are definitely on the right track. All buds cured nicely, taste is sweet, draw is smooth, smoke is mellow and the high was all that we hope for and wanted. Momma says dispensary quality, the dispensary we go to grows SUPERB meds so for Momma to say that....wow.

Room got a bit warm due to warmer outside temps. My intake is all passive intake of outside air. I'm able to turn the air over at a rate of approx 150CFM. Temps hit 86.1 for an hour and leveled off at 84.4. Dropped my humidity to 29%...bummer. We'll keep working on it as always. Dropping now to 83 degrees.

Yesterday was day 7 of veg. I've been able to increase the humidity to 46% and able to keep the temp at a calm 82.7. The ladies should like this better.

Got the humidity up to 50% and the temp at 83.3. Girls are liking the higher humidity. I'll shoot for 55%. Watering schedules have been changed to evening watering and each girl is drinking about every other day. I'm foliar spraying with water only on off water days. Will continue with half lighting for the rest of the week. Girls should be ready for some fun in the sun.

Howdy All, our girls have seemed a bit lazy and tired. They've been showing pretty good growth, not so much upward growth but good canopy and side growth. I foliar sprayed with Botanicare Grow and watered with Botanicare Grow. Seedling dose of 1 1/2 tsp per gallon. Wow they loved that. I went in and all the ladies were standing tall and leaves all perky and pointy.

Well it's been quiet here at my journal, not too many peeps popppin in.

Update on the ladies. They have all exploded with growth. There wasn't much vertical growth during the first couple of weeks but the grower I got the girls from said they would be short. They have shown great side and branch growth but very little vertical until recently. I raised the lights to cool it down one evening and next morning they had stretched to the light very nicely. So they are on a growth spurt right now.

We started with nutrients last week, we used seedling dose. I'm going to get more water now and we'll go to full strength starting tonight.

I'll be posting pics later tonight of our lovely ladies.

AK47 (2)
OG Kush (2)
Blackberry Kush (2)

Peace out
