After buying two different models and building at least 3 others, I've given up on those and found a system that works nearly 100% for me. Get a bottle of Clonex gel and some Root Riot plugs and you're in business. Get everything ready before you snip. After taking the cuttings and putting them in water I gently scrape some of the outer layer off with a scalpel and cut the end at a 45 degree angle, dip it into some Clonex that I've poured into a little medicine cup, then into the Root Riot plug. The plug with cutting goes into a tray with a hole in the bottom of each section. I fill all the sections with my cuttings and put the tray(s) into a larger tray and add water to about 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep. I put a heated seed mat under it with a towel over it. I put a dome on the tray for the first 4-5 days but leave the vents wide open. I put a weak light on them 24/7. In a week there are roots galore and I plant them in my medium. It's not as glamorous as a "clone machine" but it works flawlessly.

i use dirt in the old dome trick to with clonex but they still wilt over on about the 6th day. i really dont know what im doing wrong at this point. so im down to trying the sprayer or mister on a timer , say about every 3 hours give it a squirt. dont know just ketting fed up right now.

mine is just a pump in a 5 gal bucket. piece of PVC coming out the pump with a end cap. then drilled a hole in the end cap and tossed a sprayer in there.

i linked a DIY video of a cloner that is similar to mine.

you can either shop online or go to a local hydro store to get small net pots, nephrene collars and sprayers. check out Amazon.com they have everything.

Just get a seed starter kit from HTG Supply and a small bottle of clonex. You really don't even need the heat mat. Get the biggest one you can afford so you have enough room. Easy Peezy.

theres a bunch of you tube vids on making them...alot of people make big "heads" for them but i found 1 mister and 1 piece of PVC works just fine in a 5 gal bucket.

i have tried using those and i never had good results with them, i struggled with cloning for a while until i made the aero cloner. so simple. i do use clonex in the water. and believe it or not the aero clones is about the same price as buying seed starting kit. dont need a big pump or anything fancy.

bam 20 bucks

another 20 for the pump, so 40 bucks now and all you have left to buy is a bucket and a piece of PvP. can definatly get away with it for less money if you can get to a hydro store and only buy qty you need. either way the pump will run you about 20 bucks then a bucket is around 5 bucks and the net pots and neo sleeves and sprayers should be no more than 10 bucks if you go to the hydro store, buying them online is 20 bucks.

HTG will be your best bet. i have checked home depot and lowes and they dont carry pumps that small. they also dont have the sprayers or neophrene collares and net pots. but you will need a bucket and lid from home depot (or tote if you go that route) and some PVC..

i dont bother with the pvc cement i like to be able to take things apart and you dont need it for such low pressure.

went ahead and got the 8 site (5 gal) bucket. and several mister heads so i can make my own. after i got everything to make it it was going to be a few bucks shy of the bucket one so i went ahead and got one that was already made. lol.. now hope i can get some clones to take root without wilting after 6 days. it should be here in 3 days.
