Thinking of doing dwc but I travel for work.

mosty you'll be able to fit is 2.85gallons of water. And then it depends on the plants size anywhere from 2-20 days all depends on size.

If you built a rdwc system with a Reservoir and an extra water tank hooked up to the reservoir via a float valve it would buy you extra time. I have 9 big plants in about a 30 gallon system. I have a 5 gallon bucket on top of my reservoir that I have to refill about every 3-4 days. My water level stays consistent during this time. Would last longer if you had fewer plants.

It depends on how much the plant drink's, however unless it was a monster mother or big plants in flower, a 10L bubble bucket if fulled up with about 7L of water , should easily be able to go 5 days without much of a problem.

To give you an idea , my bigish sort of tree's in flower drink between 1.5L-2L a day.

This plant is approx 2.5ft wide both ways and about 3 ft tall with 2 600 hps bulbs hanging down vertical on either side of her.

That does give me a better idea, thanks man. I'm wondering if a cooler might not be a better option for me. Might give me a couple more days with the size and hopefully help with temps. It gets hot around here this time of year.

Just to make it a little more confusing, I'd stick with what you have but use a bigger add reservoir. As the plants are drinking, the pH is going to change. The add water helps to slow down the swing.

I have a dwc system with a. Spray system also, and my plant will drink a gallon and a half in one day, sometimes more, sometimes less, but she is a very thristy girl! She is also in flower, vegg, she was fine, could go 4-5 days without topping off, once she hit 12/12 she gulps it down. Plants drink a lot in DWC, they sit in the soultion the whole time, so they fed whenever they want. Just make sure u have a large enough reservoir.
