Thinking like grandma grow.

]The beans where started in party cups on 1/5, no pre germing or soaking. Just planted directly into the medium. Transplanted into the 2qt pots on 1/20. Final pots will be 3gal.
The medium mix consists of peat moss, worm castings, perlite. At a ratio of 1/3rd each. And to each gallon of mix 2 heaping tablespoons of dolomite lime and 1 heaping tablespoon of Espomas Garden Tone fertilizer. I will use this fert all the way through till harvest. Top dressing every 3 weeks or so.
Well water which is 7.8 pH and 280 ppm. No pH adjustments will be made.
First 2 weeks they where under mix spectrum T-5s and switched to 400 MH yesterday when transplanted. In a week or so I will switch to Hortilix HPS for the remainder of the grow.(would be under HPS now but waiting on a new bulb)
So as you can see this is a no frills grow. No topping or training. Just some selective pruning of the lower branches in a few weeks just before flipping to 12/12.
I will do my best to update weekly.
Thanks for stopping by....

looking nice when they get a little bet older they will branch out really nice :)
Glad you made it by. Lets keep our fingers crossed for at least 3 girls.

sweet ..really interested in this strain looking great so far
I have wanted to grow AO for a few years now. But whenever I went to order beans they were out of stock. Got AO and Black Widow beans(also always out of stock)in the same order. Looking forward to this grow and the Black Widow which will be next. If I only get a couple females then I may pop a few of the BW to fill the space. Or I have some fem Belladonna(my all time fav)seeds. We will just see how things go.

Glad you could make it Slab.

I forgot to mention that the grow area is the lower half of a DR90T tent. It measures 3x3x5. Kinda short yes but I found a nice way around that. My Blockbuster hood(glass removed)set on top of the tent, fixed position. I raise and lower the plants to light. This allows for full use of the 5ft inside height. So far its has worked really well. It also keeps any ducting outside of the tent. An 8 inch duct booster fan for exhaust up high and a 6 inch duct booster blowing in down low. Even running 600 watt the temp never exceeds 10 degrees above the ambient lung room temperature.(lung room is 11x11)
Odor is not an issue for me so no carbon filters or scrubbers used. Ballast is a Lumatek 600 watt adjustable.

I am so tempted to top and clone them. But I am not. Everything I have read indicates AO does not respond that well to topping. Subcool even suggests to grow un-topped. I probably will clone some of the prunings just in case a bomb pheno is about.

Those look good JPH. And thanks for the info on topping them. I cant remember for sure where I read Subcool stating for best yields not too top.
And I am thinking a 4-6 week veg. I would like to see some preflowers so I can sex hem before the next up-potting.
