thinking about adding 10 of these with a 6 bulb t5

i could just get a few 2 ft 2 bulb fixtures and mount them on there sides that way i can turn the ones off that arent being used. that seems like itd be alot cheaper. But i would use alot more electricity in the long run. a 2 bulb t5 its about 108 watts if i got 6 of them 3 on each side id be almost up to the 1,000 mark. what if i went with the t8 for side lighting id be at 708watts with t8s with my t5 and 972 watts with all t5s but id have a whopping 90k lumens on it with t5s but the time its was ready to start flowering

With the amount of power you're using and the amount of money you're looking at spending you may as well go HID or DIY LED if you want to reduce the amount of heat and power consumption. You could get a CMH from advanced tech lighting and hang it bare. It would more than likely give better temps and results while using less overall power than all of your other lighting choices. Use your T5's for side lighting.

You could also use 10 bridgelux vero 18 cobs on CPU coolers with an meanwell HLG-185H-C700A for around 200watts of LED power and almost double the efficiency of the cree bulbs.
