don't worry forre, we all have to start off somewhere, and a lot of newb's never even get close to harvest on a first grow attempt, and here you are about two or so weeks out, nice job.. like someone else said, wait till you see the pistols recede and turn an amber color before thinking of harvest.. you can also get a 30x jewlers loupe for a couple of buks online and use it to check out the tric's with.. to me they look like a lil lollipop with a head on the top.. the head is where all the thc is.. it will start out clear, turn milky, and finally end up an amber color.. you will wanna chop her when you see about half cloudy and half amber trics on the buds.. radioshack also sells a cheap handheld microscope for like $15 or so that is 60 to 100x power, and they are great for checking out your trics with.. they take a lil practice using them is the only drawback i would say about them over the jewlers loupe..
nice job and congrats.. i always like to say that you shouldn't judge your first grow by how many grams you get, but rather by how much you learned from it, and you sound like you learned a lot from this, so your next grow will only be that much better, and the next... so and so on...
