Australian actress Brooke Satchwell hid inside a bathroom cupboard for about an hour to escape a terrorist attack in the Indian city of Mumbai.
The 28-year-old had been having dinner in the city's Taj Mahal Hotel with friends and colleagues.
The hotel was among a string of high-profile targets which were attacked by heavily-armed gunmen in Mumbai this morning. The attacks left at least 80 people dead.
Satchwell said she was heading back inside the hotel after having a cigarette when she heard gunshots.
"I came back in and went via the bathrooms, which were on the ground floor next to the lobby, and as I stepped inside the lobby gunshots started to go off," she told Network Ten.
"There was probably about six of us in the bathroom and everybody froze.
"Then I think adrenalin kicked in and it became pretty clear what was going on.
"People started to lock themselves in the toilet cubicles [but] at that point that didn't seem like a very clever idea. There was no way out."

The Taj Mahal is a fucking tomb in North central India.

The targets of the (Islamic) terror attacks are scattered throughout Mumbai (Bombay) on India's West coast. Mumbai is hundreds of miles away from Agra, home of the Taj Mahal mausoleum, and not even in the same province.

Still pretty full on over there. We've been following the news most of today (it's 1:28 am on Friday here) because we're in a close time zone. Mumbai is only five hours or so behind us, so we've been awake most of their day.

You mentioned Fox so I checked the FoxNews website and there is no mention of the mausoleum anywhere in their coverage.

The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel is mentioned on SkyNews, but again - Mumbai, not Agra.

Whoa ok..damn i dont see what the big fucking deal is anyway, that time of the month? Heres what happened. Im sittin here smokin a bowl, my brothers all like they fucking blew up taj mahal. Ok i went in there, assumed it was fox, went back in here all high n stuff then wrote a thread about it. Those other guys heard about it, it was the hotel or whatever not the actual palace. So why dont you fuckin chill, go smoke a joint, do something. No reason to be like that just cuz i was mistaken.

On 9/11 I was staying in a hotel in our capital. The complimentary paper always had a leaflet glued to the cover with messages from management and a little 'good morning' greeting. When I picked up the paper, all I could see was the headline 'Under Attack' and at the bottom of the page I could see a photo with some smoke in it. My firs tthought was, "Oh, the Israelis are at it again, bombing Palestine". It wasn't until I turned on the TV and saw the news that I realised that under the leaflet was a photo of the towers.

My point? Anyone can be mistaken sometimes. I mean really, who names a hotel the 'Taj Mahal' when it's nowhere near the tourist site of the same name? Like building a hotel in Alaska and calling it the 'Empire State Building Hotel'.
