TheSchwarts - 400Watt MH/HPS Cabinet Grown

Alright, this is going to be my first HID grow. I got fed up with CFLs, just not doing it for me.

The setup is as follows.

1x A cabinet with the dimensions;
2'10" long x 1'22" wide x 6'6" high
2x Mylar reflective surface on the inside. (Emergency Blanket)

1x 400Watt kit with electronic ballast and reflective hood.
1x 400Watt MH bulb
1x 400Watt HPS bulb
2x Exhaust Fan. (1 - Intake, 1 - Exhaust. )
2x Carbon Filter.


Some details on the lights are the following;

MH Bulb.

- HPS Bulb has a 30% additional "BLUE" spectrum combined with high "RED" spectrum creates the correct balance for MAXIMUM PLANT GROWTH.

(Got a great deal on the kit, I managed to get the kit brand new for $160.00 )

Soil is a part peat moss, potting soil, and perlite volcanic glass.

Went to my local seed exchange today,
the original plan was to get Northern Lights,
however it turns out they were fresh out. D:

Though not all is lost, I decided to grab a sack
of Califonia Orange!
The seeds are from Willy Jack, a bag of ten only ran me $75 bucks.
(Not bad!)

As we speak now I have five of the little gems germing in paper towel,
they are in a warm dark place right now.
Hopefully within the next day or two they will have popped, never had to wait more than
four days.
