The Yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees
Matthew 16:5-12

v.5 When they went across the lake, the disciples forgot to take bread. “Be careful”, Jesus said to them. “Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”

v.7 They discussed this among themselves and said, “ It is because we didn’t bring any bread.”
Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked, “You of little faith, why are you talking among yourselves about having no bread?

v.9 Do you still not understand? Don’t you remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered? Or the seven loaves for the four thousand and how many basketfuls you gathered?

v.11 How is it you don’t understand that I was not talking to you about bread? But be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
Then they understood that he was not telling them to guard against the yeast used in bread, but against the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

Seven Woes
Matthew 23:1 – 39
Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples: “The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat.

v.3 So you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. They tie up heavy loads and put them on men’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.

v.5 “Everything they do is done for men to see; They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long; they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues;

v.7 they love to be greeted in the marketplaces and to have men call them ‘Rabbi’.
“But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have only one Master and you are all brothers.

v.9 And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and He is in heaven. Nor are you to be called ‘teacher,’ for you have one Teacher, the Christ.

v.11 The greatest among you will be your servant. For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

v.13 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.

v.15 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are.
“Woe to you, blind guides! You say, If anyone swears by the temple, it means nothing; but if anyone swears by the gold of the temple, he is bound by his oath.

v.17 You blind fools! Which is greater; the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred? You also say, ‘If anyone swears by the altar, it means nothing; but if anyone swears by the gift on it, he is bound by his oath.’

v.19 You blind men! Which is greater; the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred? Therefore, he who swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it. v.21 And he who swears by the temple swears by it and by the one who dwells in it. And he who swears by heaven swears by God’s throne and by the one who sits on it.

v.23 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices - mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law – justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former. You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.

v.25 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self indulgence. Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean everything on it.

v.27 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men’s bones and everything unclean. In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrites and wickedness.

v.29 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous. And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our forefathers, we would not have taken part with them shedding the blood of the prophets.’

v.31 So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets. Fill up, then, the measure of the sin of your forefathers!

v.33 “You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell? Therefore I am sending you prophets and wise men and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town.
v.35 And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. I tell you the truth; all this will come upon this generation.

v.37 “O Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing. Look, your house is left to you desolate. v.39 For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’ “

What does Charles Manson and Barrack Obama have in Common? Psychopathy.
You be the Judge?
Psychopathy: A psychopath is an individual characterized by a lack of empathy for others, grandiose self worth, and a lack of sensitivity to punishment (Hare et al., 1990; Mealy, 1995). Psychopathy is also called antisocial personality disorder or sociopath. Robert Hare (1993) has described psychopaths as “below the emotional poverty line.” To make things worse, psychopaths’ indifference to the pain of others is accompanied by impulsiveness and a tendency to deny responsibility for their own misdeeds. In a study comparing criminal violence in psychopaths and nonpsychopaths, Hare and his colleagues found that psychopaths’ devious and/or violent acts were three times more likely to have been motivated by personal gain and over ten times likely to have been motivated by emotion (Williamson, Hare, & Wong, 1987). Thus violence perpetrated by psychopaths is cool and calculated for personal reward. Capone showed many of the classical characteristics of psychopathy, as in his cold hearted willingness to beat men to death and to assassinate his business competitors. And like Capone, many psychopaths are quite socially charming (except to those who stand in their way).

Like the violence of adult psychopaths, the aggression of schoolyard bullies also tends to be focused more on personal gain rather than on other motives such as retaliation or self defense (Olweus, 1978). In a study of young adolescents boys in Sweden, researchers found that about 5 percent of them were viewed by their teachers and classmates as bullies. These boys were typical cool and deliberate in their bullying, picking targets whom they could easily or seemingly beat in a fight. As Berkowitz (1993a) notes, the aggressiveness of such bullying boys wasn’t designed just to injure their victims, but was a tool used to gain others rewards.

Empathy: Feelings of empathy - sharing the emotions of another – seem to make aggressive behavior unrewarding (Baumeister & Campbell, 1999; Miller & Eisenberg, 1988). If, like most people, you cannot help feeling distressed when you watch someone else in pain you would probably take little pleasure in the life of a henchman for the mob. Highly empathetic people put themselves “in the other person’s shoes,” and are likely to be consumed with guilt over hurting another (Leith & Baumeister, 1998). On the other hand, psychopaths, with their general tendency to feel less emotional arousal, and their particular lack of empathy (Harpur, 1993; Williamson et al., 1987), feel less compunction about hurting others spontaneously in their course of committing other crimes.

Debauchery: Excessive indulgence in sensual pleasures: DISSIPATION. Seduction from morality, allegiance, or duty. Taking someone’s sincere loyalty or partnership for granted for carnal or worldly gains.

Morality: The quality of being in accord with standards of good or right conduct. A system of ideas of right and wrong conduct. Virtuous conduct.

Virtuous: Moral excellence and righteousness: goodness. Chastity, esp. of a girl or woman. Spiritual innocence, purity or essence. A particularly efficacious, good, or beneficial quality: Advantage. Effective force or power. Manly courage: Valor.

Vice: An evil, degrading, or immoral habit or practice. A serious moral failing. Wicked or evil habits or conduct: CORRUPTION.

Some might call it heed; some might call it enlightenment or wisdom; some may consider it foolishness, you probably should interpret it as you feel is best for you.

This isn't political, it's religious.This should be in sexuality/spirituality.

You are something. I would add it to that blog as oppose to moving it; bceause its fits both the religious realm and the political when you truly look at its essential message.

Before congresspersons was legislating political laws; pharisees and levticans and the likes were legislating religious laws. My point there is an precedent and overlapping of todays constitutional laws. Do you not know the Spirit of the God of your nation; can you not discern the Spirit of this nation withthe Spirit of the Most High God; discern child, discern. The Bill of Rights, seems to have stem from the Ten Commandments.

Populat opinion want to seperate state and religon, but I am talking about the Spirit of Truth/Virtue and faith. It should be becoming premitive not to reasonably debate the consistencies of religions. But, I understand this theory is still in relative development.

I'm not a child.I'm the same age you are.Separation of church and state is there for a reason.Your god is not everyone's god.But you won't ever understand that, because you cannot grow or change. You are trapped in a mindset, and stagnant, and therefore not worth the time it takes to debate.Go on, poseidon.

Your views with me are full of "Projection". I never said that every one had the same god as me; I will tell you that my God is the Highest, though, so why limit youself with anything less.

Again, hell is not a rights of passage that I coerce on anyone; other than to tel them as a form of intervention. Ibeleive the world interpreted by the Truth is moe than enough to permit one to raise their standards of understanding. This is to say, we reap what we sow; this is to say a virtuous experience and faithfulness will get me the same hearing without the reaping of hell from sowing it,; I understand you goals perfectly well; I have for the last 7 to 18 years, I still can't righteously justify getting someone hell for the love of God, at least not my God.

But, yet you are following me around this post hding your true feelings, sowing hell on yourself thinking you are dong me a favor, I good; so good, I wouldn't care how you interpret my conduct, does that make sense to you?

Do you have a grow going?Do you smoke pot?Do you just come here to spout off?Your god is in your HEAD, along with many other voices, it seems. You don't know my true feelings by now?Disdain.Shall I spell it out any clearer?I don't like people who can't keep their crazy in check. There's no excuse for it.If you were any kind of righteous person as you claim, you'd live a life of poverty and chastity, starting with losing your dial up.

That's what it would take to be your God; maybe I have already experience that phase, maybe it is to come; maybe that has been experienced by someone else that I don;t have to experience it because they did for me. I thnak Jesus Christ, period. Is it mandatory that everybody have crazy becuase you do or because you say so? If so, I disagree with you.

Righteousness is achieved through faith, not through persecution.

Ultimately, my God is in my heart; however, through His Word of Truth I have found my mind to bridge and sequenize Him in my head, in my heart and in heaven. O am fimiliar with hell, but, I have a head not to choose that even as I walk thorugh the valley of the shadow of "U".
