if yield is big enough why not make a home made trimmer lots of videos of ghetto ones on youtube
Hi Delux..

Yeah, Ive seen them at my hyrdo store and I've caught a couple on youtube, but they do knock the buds around a fair bit...Theres a lot of rubbing done to them.. I don't like to knock the crystals off.... But it does create some nice hash around the blades...lol...

I'm still a bit of a purist....So whinge I may, but I'll still do it this way.... Thanks for the tip though... Always happy to hear from you Delux.... :-)

I am with you Lacey - those trimmers remove too much of the good product. I will continue Old School. It is a relaxing time and I think about a lot of things while I am trimming. I usually cut one branch at a time off the plant so they are hydrated when I start and I can stop if I need to take a break. I enjoy the trimming although labor intensive it is. My OCD doesn't allow me to do just a decent job. It is manicured as if God himself will examine it when done. Some of us are just sicker than others.

Here is my white widow at 25 days flowering.

Sorry for the single bud shots, but its pretty useless to try and get a whole plant shot since it is mixed into a scrog with 5 other plants, but I guess we can play the game, can you finds the White Widow?

It's somewhere in there...

If you know what your looking for, it is the area in the bottom of the pic where it looks lighter green. Thats her. It was an accident that she ended up in there with all my Blue Kush plants, but I ran with it. Gave me a chance to verify the genetics and see how she does in my hydro, since I only grew that pheno in soil. Cant wait to see her bulking up. Se is already frosting up nicely.

This is only happening to my white widow guys... The plant itself is very healthy, but on every other leaf, I have these little white spots...

My medium is vermiculite and perlite
My nutrients are Canna Classic (I don't have nute burn, these are mothers and don't run on full strength)
400 watt metal halide light...
I have plenty of fresh air and a good exhaust. The temps are perfect and humidity is around 40-45%....There are no insects or mites, believe me I have inspected the plants fully, as I thought that was the problem..

Could someone please give me some advice???

I havent seen that one yet. They have a weird shape to them. Did you give the leaves, especially the underside, a complete lookover? Might be a pest problem.

Rang my hydroshop and they reckon it could be leaf miners... Its not that big of a deal... Very easily fixed apparently... Will head out there tomorrow...:-)

There is nothing on the underside of the leaves which makes me feel a little better... When things show up on the underside is when you panic... :-)

hi guys - got my 2 x WW with a big bang plant at 3 weeks since the switch and was wondering at what time will they really start to stretch or is it just a gradual stretch over the whole flower period?

also is it normal for the top leaves to point up towards the light at times - and i mean fully point up - not just slightly but like 60 degrees toward the light?

also is there any advantage in harvesting and then re-vegging the plants or is it easier just to chop down?

cheers.

EA.

The stretch usually lasts only 3 weeks. They dont grow much taller after that, just fill in. Hard tosay for sure W/O pics, but I think the tops leaves are just "opening up" kinda unfolding. Sounds normal. If you can clone then I wouldnt reveg. It takes just as long to grow out a clone and you start in fresh soil, vigorous plant.

The big stretch usually happens during the first 3 weeks of flowering.

thanks fella, got my clones going great now after initial failure the first time i tried i now have 4 successfully rooted babies thanks to using a makeshift propogator and peat pellets, one of them i have put in a hempy pot just to see if theres any difference in growth rate - you could call it my first little forage into passive hydro!

makes sense not to re-veg a harvested plant, when you think about it the soil will be rubbish i guess.
