So was I!!!! lol... I know it seems like a long time, but you'll look at your plants at 8 weeks and you'll see that they are NOWHERE near ready... I was so bummed cause I wanted to fast crop it.. But with Widow, there's just no way... Please trust me, when I tell you you'll be thanking me for the three week extension advice...

Here are some pics of my buds at different stages, You will see what I mean when you're plants start to take shape... The whole head of the plant is changing and I am in week 9...Perservere with the Widow, that's why its one of the best smokes in the world... It needs a long flower with heaps of love...:-)

I will go thru my photos and find the ones that show the best comparisons...

wow those are some good lookin buds. i went ahead and put four of my clones into flowering instead of waiting till sunday i think they were ready anyways.... so my first batch will be ready in 7 weeks, second batch all ww will be ready in 10 to 11 weeks, 4 week break in between harvest sounds pretty good. i hope to never have to pay for pot again!

by the way nice setup, what kind of light are you using there, is that a MH? i ask because im using a 400 watt MH and was wondering how it was workin out. ive harvested two plants under mine that were a bit fluffy, i wasnt sure if it was because of the light or not.

A couple of my WW came due early at around 8 weeks, and now am @ 12 weeks and I am ready to chop my last 10.
The standard seed bank flowering projection for WW is 8 weeks but I have yet to see that ever finish that quick & have grown them out 5 times now.
My advice would be to get a good scope & use that to judge ripeness.

I am using a 1000watt HPS and a 400watt Metal Halide in my big tent... I just threw the 400 in there to deal with a dark spot... Its made the plants go nuts... So I will tell you the reason they are so big is because for the first 5 weeks they were under a 1000watt HPS.. I just moved it over and threw in the 400... I use a 400watt metal halide for my mother tent and I love it.. Its perfect...

I'm not one to flower under HPS but I did this time, and I must say I would use it again, but only in the latter stages of my grow. Probably 5 weeks in again.. The HPS just makes them fill out so well..

Its amazing the plant recovered so well. Nice job. Your plant looks damned healthy, so I wouldn't chase your tail over a ph that really isn't an issue right now.
Thanks Dave for your complements! Im surprised it came out the way it did. Still patiently awaiting the day......

SL2 - that shit looks dank!

Hello :-) Two weeks is a long time for babies not to recieve food.. Is there any way you can get around it? Like hand watering or feeding... How bout foliar feeding for those two weeks? But do it just before your lights turn off, so you don't get nute burn from the lights... I've never tried it, but you could give it a go...Let me know how you're going to tackle it... Laceygirl...:-)

Hey LacyGirl

I think I have come up with a solution. See, here is my situation - I have a 20 gal tub (roughneck) with 6 net pots in it. I only had 1 flowering in there (6 wks today) and added 3 more today (2 clones and 1 that has been veg for awhile) I decided to just buy a lid for a 5 gal bucket and just finish the 1 in there and it won't affect the others. Those lids at Home Depot are only $.98 - pretty cheap fix. Thanks for your assistance none the less.

Does no one else see the potential in trees?
I understand that growing indoors is a time sensitive operation, but with that having been said.......
I found myself in the position of having to flower some pretty large plants as a result of anxiety and rate of success I have had with cloning since I began to grow my own herb.
When I began to clone new starts, I made far more than I had the ability to flower at any given time. Therefore I had several cycles of clones in veg for an extended period which allowed them to get bigger and bigger..........
As this happened, I had to enlarge the bloom room to accomodate the increasing size, but DECREASING numbers of plants that I had, to replace those that had come-ready.
Eventually I ended up growing in 5gal buckets with tomato cages in them, and removing my shades to run bare bulbs lowered just below the very tops of the canopy...
WOW! I don't think I could be happier.......I am now yielding 4+ oz per plant from the first 2, and have got the second 2 hanging to dry, and expect around 5-6 oz from each of them!!!
The room is still full of progressively larger plants, as they have been rotating into bloom around 3 wks apart.......the last ones in are at day 13 today, and are already 6ft tall! Can't wait to see what they tip the scales at!!
So, anyway.....it all happened by chance, but given the wieght I am making per plant, I feel like this is going to be the way for me to go, at least for now, since the laws have changed in my state on the # of plants that constitute federal charges.....what BULLSHIT!!
OK, enough ramblin'...here's how it's lookin' so far....:joint:

Hello WW club :-P

I need some input from those who have harvested WW. I have two WW’s and they are close to ready. They will get their second big flush tomorrow. The calyxes are swollen(especially since the flush started), hairs are pulling in but it keeps pushing out new ones. Still a lot of clear triches, mostly cloudy, had some amber tint here and there, few amber heads but not many.

So my question is when do you guys chop? Clear, cloudy or amber? How much amber do you look for? I was thinking 30% amber?????

Any input would be greatly appreciated…Rep for help+++ :joint::bigjoint:

This one is 11 weeks

This one is 12.5 weeks

SL2, I myself am gonna chop at 20-25% amber. Im probably around 60/40 clear/cloudy at 70 days now. Its killing me. If my ladies go another 2.5 weeks like some of yours, Im going to shoot someone :)

Come on Dave, hang in there.... Its excruciating, I know, but try not to chop them down...I am going to hang in there till the white hairs have all but receeded.. I want a super heavy stone... Don't you??? :-)

I like a mix of both. My next grow is gonna be a Sativa dominant hybrid. Ive also got a couple of Sativas going along with my WW, but they'll probably be 12-14 weekers. Im looking forward to them.

One of my ladies hairs are pretty much all brown and receeding, but I could only see a few ambers on her. I think she'll be ready within a week though.

On a sidenote: My two bagseed Indicas are hermies :( I knew one was, but I only found 1 pollen sack like 4 weeks ago. I did another inspection today, and they were on the tips of every bud now. I think only one or two had a chance to pollinate. I just pulled off 3 forming seed pods a bit ago.

The other plant, which is just beautiful. Turning a nice purple from the top down with green serrated edges still is also a hermie, but not nearly as bad as the other one. They're at day 46 now, so Ill just keep plucking them until the finish line. Good thing is there is no oscillating fan in there to help spread the pollen around. I hope my WW will be okay.
