Thanks for the info.

Would T-5 lighting Cause my flowering time to be longer?

Straight water the last 7 days, and there's all kind of new growth.

oh yes you can def go too long! once all the trics are amber thats as fr as you can really go, waiting too long and the flower will burst as will the trics. they will get slightly bigger right before they burst, but i can never get to this point and them not burst in curing. for couch lock, go to amber, cut. dec 24? prob not. that would be an 83 day flowering phase, pretty long for it usually taking around 56.

im not sure on the t-5, it might. i gen grow in hydro using hps, but my last grow i was switching light setups and had to flower in t-5 6500k. it was 216w and compared to the hps i dont know how i feel. the bud site were more uniform, but i had smaller buds. it did take me longer, but was in soil with varied feedings. and they were sativas. im on my first ww grow, but everywhere i read something along the lines of "Flowering Time: On both mediums it is suggested to flower (12 hour light) the White Widow for 8 weeks, but 10 weeks will really give you the crystals you are after. We suggest the final 2 weeks of the flowering cycle to turn the lights off altogether - or at least down to 8 hours. This keeps the flowers from regrowth and stresses the plant into giving up its last drop of goodness as crystal to protect the flower...try it!" -http://www.white-widow-seeds.com/
hopefully what your growth you mention isnt regrowth.

I was told T-5 would be shitty for flowering, but the buds are hard as a rock!
The Beastie Bloom really made a difference in there density, compared to not adding it.
Pretty happy with the T-5,only my second grow.

scopse: dunno yet, trying to learn that too right now. i mean you can shorten the light cycle, add molasses, the one thing thats work on any strain is to give it a boost like 0-50-30 the last two weeks. how many plants you got there? looks like a nice canopy.

Thanks for replying dude, I'm gona grab some molasses tomorrow and see if it makes any difference. I've got 10 white widows there.

Here are some close up bud porn from today.

Your partner is wrong. 600w lamps have a greater light output than fluorescent bulbs. I dont know why he would want to use only flouros. Maybe he's living in the stone age :).

You'll be happy picking up an Ushio, Hortilux, or Lumatek's 600w bulbs.

There are alot of tricks to get the best out of your crop, but number one is to keep your plant healthy. Keep those leaves green till the end and you'll have better yield.

LST or top your plants to generate multiple tops and try to keep them all at the same height.

this is more of a general question. I have a 14gal dwc that i usually put 6 plants in. ww i only put three in and its way too much. im running a 400hps in flowering, letting them get to about 30cm, ad have so far ended up with 3' plants, day 18 of flowering. im noticing on ww there are hardly and flowering sites past the first foot from the top. i got all kinds of side shoots im kicking myself for not lst, but most of them dont show pistils, just small bunched up leaves where the flower would be. i know they wont produce much, but is it going to help to cut them off? they dont really have alot of light. but i dont wanna chop em off if it doesnt help yield up top. also due to this ive been wondering if it would be better to make a sog from clones direct to flowering and end up with 1.5' plants that would be just all bud. i think id get more that way than the 1oz a plant now by fitting 2x the plants. lemme kno ur thoughts...

If you want to improve yield on the lower parts of the plants, then you should space them further apart. This will allow more light to reach lower branches. I imagine they are pretty crowded in right now, and negligible amounts of light will penetrate below your canopy. I would definitely LST in early flowering next time around if I were you.

As for removing the larf, It depends on whether or not it will increase yield at the top. I couldn't tell you one way or another. IME, fan leaves fuel the growth of branches and buds for that node, but I imagine the photosynthate would be allocated elsewhere if the leaves were left alone, and the larf removed. It could very well be worth your time to do it, or you could just leave the larf and use it later for hash or whatnot.
