It's good to see the Weed Nerds talking about pruning at the Mendo Dope fields. Because for much of the season the "prune happy" behavior nearly sent me to therapy.

Notice how Mendo's big ball plants have fanners and smaller leaves or a more traditional appearance. The thing is though that big balls don't let light inside the ball very well and in can get humid in there as well. Why not prune to four main branches so if you are looking down from the top
you see four arms coming like like an open hand. I say this because in the wild, the largest hemp plants do this naturally. It's like four christmas trees growing off of one center stem. I'd like to break you boys of the big ball habit.

and where can I find your giant outdoor garden young William

Yeah aeration is a lot different when you have a larger mass trying to fold in on itself. As compared with plant sculpting or training outdoors. Extreme sativas become more difficult, as they want to get to large, and are wind hazards... You may have caught the part in the Arjan Strain Hunter video... About how the "clever growers" split the plant 4 ways at the base in Swaziland... The other interesting aspect, is the training allows for numerous "true" segregated top heads. Which allows for better quality and yield.

you guys are forgetting the golden moniker: "whatever works best for you" if they have had success over and over again, why change what you do?

I like The Presidents of The United States of America

They use both a basitar (2 strings) and a guitbass (3 strings).
