brand new RR plugs, rain water at ph 7.6 all clean , I'm stumped...no heat mat as per sub....

ok thanks I'll drop the PH a bit...srsly it's like they are in suspended animation, lol...good news, I went to the store and while I was gone I put my plastic chicken dome thingy outside in shady sunlight...came home and one of the girls is just breaking ground so all is not lost..I put em back in the veg room... keep fingers crossed plz

well, it could be something in the water but if so I have no way to test for it...might need to get new filters for my RODI...
Have the plugs ever completely dried out at any point, and when you say damp if you pick them up does any water drip off of the RR's at all?
If you cant get them with RR's get some light warrior or similar starter soil, soak seeds for 4-6 hours in a glass of water giving them a stir every once in a while until they all sink (I usually use bottled spring water for this, I did it the first time I germed seeds and they've all germed except for the ones I used a heat mat on since so its a ritual now), fill a 10oz or bigger plastic cup with soil and poke a couple holes in the bottom/sides for drainage, soak the soil with PH'ed water, plant seeds about 1/4" down, put 1 CFL on 18/6 and walk away and do nothing unless the top 1/4" looks desert like, if it does dip your clean fingers in some water and splash it on it to moisten it up, dont flood it like a normal watering. Usually my seeds are up popped in 3-4 days or less. Not that the RR's arent easy but I think this way is pretty fool proof, I tend to screw up and let the rooters dry out so I had to try something else that was easier that involved no RR's or paper towels and this is what I came up with. However RR's are my go to for cloning I can not get seeds to germ in them.

On WN 59 Sub mentions that he'd like some different size screens in his kief box. For anyone building or designing the things, I HIGHLY recommend Robert Clarke's book Hashish! (2d ed). At pages 320-328 he has a section on optimal sifting, showing options in screen size and construction and how you can use some silk screen material on the market to get precise pore size for the trichs you want. SOme cheap silk screen material uses multi-fibers for the screen that are rough and will hold on to your trichs, but you can get monofilament screens, or stainless screens for optimal size. It's actually pretty easy to buy multiple sizes of screen material off ebay, then staple it onto pre-made silk screen frames like they sell at craft stores in place of the stuff that comes on the frame. You can easily create a stack of screens that you vibrate to give the dry sift equivalent of bubble bags...

Hi Whitey, thanks for responding...the RR's have never dried out, no dripping, just damp and well if ya squeeze it it will drip a bit...I just don't know...I have 2 Vortex seeds that are still trying to grow, barely able to see the shiny seed head, sad to see the death of these seeds....I followed Sub's advice on this one since , well, success speaks for itself . I guess I'll use this as a learning experience...i have a TnT Kush fem Eva seed (?) that was sent with the vortex that I'm gonna try and crack just to see, wish me luck guys...FTC !

Mr. Greentooth, If you give up on em, take 2 needles or something similar under good light open RR up from the side until the entire seed is exposed. If it's cracked and you and you can see the cotyledons inside trying to spread just touch the edges of the shell with the needles and pry it open a bit. As long as you don't butcher the flesh it may go on to live a nice healthy life. I had to do this to 3 seedlings the last time I germinated. No problems that I can tell. P.S. sterilize your area and equipment.

if you take some sort of preworkout, it should be fine. My friend gets energy from his preworkout and focus from his weed. I dont smoke personally I have no motivation at the gym if I do.but ull get so high after! detox!
