Vulmar pretty much covered it and my way i use no airstones at all just waterfall effect, and one water pump running 4 30L buckets and 60L external res outside my tent, u get faster growth and bigger yileds in rwdc it has more stable temps ph and ppms as well
Im not dissing single bucket i acheived great results with it, i got 50 dry oz from a 8 bucket grow my forst time tryin it, then started researching RDWC havent looked back, have a look in my grow show here ul see my trees lol

May i also list the bad points of rdwc if one plant get sick they generaly all do ie root rot etc, so id keep res temps at 19deg and run hiesenbergs tea as a root stim/protection

That and huge growth and yield, u need to tie up buds are that big ;)

Do you use a danner mag water pump style to circulate your rdwc? Im looking to combine x5 5gal buckets into a RDWC with a seperate control tote. Just curious if anyone has ever installed one or created their own rdwc system. Via means of predrilling, getting their own fittings, and such.

If its the round 5gal pots id use eb and flo and 13mm feed 19mm returns and a mj1000 pump i built my own and no how to build urs with a drip feed if u please, pm me so were no thread hijacking or ask on my diy thread on here mate, take care

Hey VO......

I am glad you got going again.......Lets hope it all goes well this time....I am thinking your going to knock it out of the park....base's are loaded.....

I will be watching.....

I tryed a new brand of nutes for this grow....it took me a cupple of barrells to figure it out....But I got it........good luck VO..........nitro.....

I am really on crop #5.....But when I started my thread I only had some pic's of my crop #2.....My next grow I will start a new thread and get back to the right number....

Anyway I hope all is well...........nitro

Damn, I for got to tell you last time that you shold wait intil the roots are more developeded than just the one taproot. Oh well. I hope it turns out good for you void.

You mean wait til they have more roots to put them in the DWC? Interesting..

Yeah. When I did my little DWC experiment, I put the basket in a little tub and watered it periodically when ever it felt right. I'd the water fill up in the tub and pool around the basket until the roots started growing into the water. It would be easy in your case since you're using rockwool. Just flood and drain a mini table until there the bottom of the cube is covered in roots, then put it in the hydroton basket. Then do the same thing with that. Should take like a week or two.

Eh yeah I meant following your crop #2 thread.. if post count is worrying I can always change the title, or make a new thread so you'd have a new first post and then I could merge threads so you'd have all the others on there, but then new posters would post to the back.

I'm not here to police the section, I'm here to make it better and help out when I can, so get creative and lemme know.

That's something that I"ve never done. I put them right in the rock wool and in to the net pot just like VO did. The only thing I do different is I keep the water up just in to the net pot. My Hydroton is always damp.

Yeah I let them sprout out of the cubes 99% of the time, but as soon as I put them under lights they go into the DWC.
