The Vault Comparative Grow, in association with Mephisto Genetics - Heisenberg Special Autos

They are doing good. The dinafem amnesia will be a big plant. I think the Heisenbergs will be to. These were popped straight in soil.

Auto flowers developed a flowering mechanism due to the long hours of daylight where they grow. They use the taproot to flower.

When you plant in plugs, cubes, or cups you do not get the most out of an auto flower.

These will be close to 3-4 feet tall when finished. That is a guesstimate. Based on past observation.

Heisenbergs are the two big pots on the left. Dinafem amnesia is big pot on the right. The cups and little pots are c99 and ww x bigbud to go outside.
Looking good man, that middle HS reminds me of this one I have, when it was young. From what I've read there are two distinct phenos, short and squat, then taller and branchier. I like ur setup, I've always followed your posts.

Thanks. Yeah I've found those deep 32oz cups do great when it's time to transplant. Makes it easier to sink um deep. My buddy just let's his stems go and pushes his medium up around his stalks and doesn't transplant. I've tried to show and teach him that's it's just better to reburry um but he is being hard headed. Lol
Looking good and I love the Wendy's cup.

Thank you. The link in my signature shows my setup better.

The middle may be a short pheno. The one on the left was short then started growing fast. The middle may do the same.

When planting straight to large containers you get a different type of growth. The roots will grow and the plant will look like it stalled then take off again.

I'm going to try some new stuff this year. I made a batch of colloidal silver and will be making fem beans.

I will be growing in buckets strapped to trees and let the bottoms sit in a pond. I will make a couple of floating rings with netty pots and try to do an aquaponics grow in the wild. This will be in my link.

Yea mine definitely took there time getting roots established, then about day 20-25 just blew up.

That sounds pretty damn cool man I'd follow that for sure.

I'm not making any auto seeds but I plan to f2 my tga and make a kaboom XAK47 cross as well :)

So, I think i was right: the cube is stunting the growth or doing something that is keeping them from growing beyond the surface of the soil? Great post! I think you just solved my problem. Thanks!

It is possible. With seeds, autos especially, the less steps and handling the better.

A tap root will have many fine roots, hair like, and when you use paper towels and other steps, it damages those fine roots. The bacteria that cause damping off love the same environment as a sprouting seed. That damage allows a chance for bacteria or illness to enter the plant.

I'm not knocking anyone. Do what makes you happy.

Cannabis growers have all these rituals and myths with it.

I plant a vegetable garden and flower beds every year. How silly would it look if I srpouted everything with paper towels and crawling through the garden dropping the seeds in?

It is a seed that is meant to grow. That is my take on it. Put some soil in a pot, poke hole, add seed, and cover.

No doubt. Seeds of weed. It'll grow up in the crack of a sidewalk. Those that roll there smoke outside and chuck their seeds will attest...those fkrs will sprout everywhere lol. Keep it simple. Seed in slightly moist dirt, mist lightly when the surface dries. When it breaks the surface let the roots do their thing and search for water.

Sounds like a fun summer grow. I'm doing a similar one his summer. Outdoor hydro hooked up to my fish pond and plan to grow a few swamp monsters in floating buckets. The fish pond venture is new to me. I'll be doing that towards the end of June with some g glue cuts. What strains are you doing your pond grow?
Some ww x big bud. I know people knock it. I've had some that was good weed. I don't want one and two hit weed all the time.

Some c99 from female seeds and some from blimburn. Some dinafem gear. Two Heisenbergs. Kc brains haze. Seedsman ww. Some of my stuff.

Nice line up. Yeah sometimes it's nice to roll one and kick back and smoke the whole thing. Or at least most of it. I ise it for medicinal but I also really enjoy smoking it lol. One hit stuff is great but to only have that to smoke sucks.. I'm doing female seeds sex bud which is c99 I believe. Professor Paul's cherry mint and major medic will also be outside. Autos go out as to finish as soon as the weather is right. Last year I messed going out to early and we got hit with a cold snap that stunted some nice plants I had. This year I'll wait till June if I have to.

So I couldn't contain myself any longer after looking at all your lovely Heisenberg Specials and seeing what a nice little plant it is and what you guys are all doing with them, so I stuck 2 of my seeds in jiffy plugs on the 15th. I've never germed seeds before and after doing soooooo much reading on methods I decided to go with nature and just stick the seeds in the dirt! I put them in the propogator with the cheese clones I've got rooting under the little T5. The one on the left appeared above soil last night and the other appeared this morning. The left one has its shell stuck on still but I'm gonna give it a little bit longer before I interfere.

I was gonna use the rockwool plugs I use for cloning to pop my seeds but I read that rockwool is really hard on the tender new roots so it isn't advised to use it for that. I just put mine in jiffy plug things and they popped in 2 days so it seems likely that's your problem :peace:

Thanks for thinking of me and the offer but I can't use it until I get a ballast. I am still shopping for a better lighting system to use. My grow isn't going as well as I would like for it to. In fact, H.S. #3 popped a few days ago so I put it in The Tron and it hasn't broken the surface yet, so I don't know if this is going to work out for me or not. I swear, I am the only person that has walked this planet that can kill a marijuana plant; nobody else, just me. The AxT project was my only successful grow ever, and I think that only happened because it has indestructible genetics. So, I guess in a very roundabout way I am saying that if I can't even get a seed to germ and grow into a sprout, then it would be a a waste of time, money, effort and resources to contribute anything to my projects until I can figure out what to do, how to do it and when to do it.

Thanks Sassafras, it really means a lot to me that you made that offer though.
Practice temperature controll 80 degrees works well for me this sight has all the info you need

I was afraid of that. Thanks Cannacat! My next attempt goes straight into the coco; no dome.
