The Truth About Flushing

Flush once with final flush 7 to ten days before harvest to dissolve excess fertilizer salts. I hear 5 days is the least amount of time. This will bring out the flavor of the plant.also making it burn better.
BULLSHIT!! Doesnt do anything but screw up the cure.....some people are just overnight experts

What the fuck science did you base this on? Re-read this and justify with science. Not, 'well that's what I heard" or "taffy told me". Science or go back to get the GED.

Well I've read this to the end and its a shame Riddleme is gone. But I have entered the flooding experiment, & flooded a plant a couple of days ago. Gonna flood 3 of 4 finishing now. Gonna compare a NLxBB flooded and not.

One thing after all this I would like to know more about the fermentation chamber. Are there more posts I haven't found concerning the fermenting. I'd like to know the optimum temp and humid to get a good cure.... any info I haven't found would be helpful.

Make sure to post your results. Riddlem3.c*o*m is where the man is at now. However, I did not see any detail on the fermentation chamber. He might be saving it for his book...

On my last crop i gave them ph'd water with guanokalong (bat shit tea) for the last week then drown them for a week and to be fair the smoke is a lot smoother

A fascinating thread, just read the whole thing over a few hours.

Yet to start my first grow but I'll keep this in mind for the second or third to see the difference.

Exciting stuff!

Why would anyone flush vital nutrients from a plant during the most critical time unless?;

1. Hydro
2. You previously added too much shit into a soil grow.

Replying purely to bump this BS dispelling thread.

As Riddleme said above tho, you cant expect a flush at the end to correct grower errors the whole way through the grow. Trick is to not add too much crap in the first place.

Respect again for this Riddleme, awesome work.

I know this is a relatively old thread but the info about drowning the plant prior to harvest caugh my attention. I've done several grows successfully now and instead of flushing, I just taper down on the nutes until about ten days from harvest when I just water with pure water as needed. My buds always seem to taste pretty good after they've been cured. (better than anything I've purchased). I'm within ten days of harvesting my current grow and I wanted to find out if anybody else has tried this drowning technique and what were the results?
