The Truth About Flushing

Good stuff.
When growers get past the need for validation, they can learn & become more skilled.
Word.

But people dont like change. If something is working for us we feel that everything is fine. When we do change something often the end result is not that great as we haven't gotten used to the new way, so we just accept it doesnt work and go back to what we are comfortable with.
And then we will argue black and blue that our way is the best way.

1/2 the problem with debating the flush is the word Flush. Its not like it has only one meaning to people.

No problem man. My bad too.

We will just let it be.

Thank you.

I am fixing to buy one of those.
Just sold it 3 years ago lol. It had a shit bucket, Ford 600. We didn't farm but we have rented fields and I have worked at small beef farms as a kid, not long mind you, it didn't like haying ;(. Also worked at a CASE dealer after school and weekends :).

My brother has a "garden" outside of an indoor grow. A tractor caught fire, the caretaker freaked and didn't know what to do. Fire dept. and LAPD showed up.

One of those moments.

The manure helps. You also admit to using time release certs and ammonium spray that take tim3 to break down.

Its hard to grow even feed corn year after year. You have to rotate crops.

Your white snow thing kind of shows lack of knowledge of farming. You never heard of winter wheat? It grows in snow.
First, I never said I was a farmer. I worked on a farm. It was a dairy farm in the early 70's. Nobody planted cover crops, let alone winter wheat. Cornell didn't even have an advisory on it. To say money was tight would be an understatement. I doubt he could have afforded it or would have known to do it.

And yes, the corn came up fine for the years I was there. Ferts? yeah, he fertilized. Herbicides, yeah. Insecticides, hell yeah.

I was just distant family labor dealt out to keep me out of trouble during the summers. And putting up hay was the absolute worst job I have ever had (I had hay fever). And I've had some doosies.

Oh, and you haven't lived until some cow swings the tail she has been soaking in a trough of piss and manure right into your mouth first thing in the morning as you go to put the milkers on.

So stop arguing about something you didn't see. It worked on the scale he farmed it, which wasn't huge.

Wait till you work in a hog confinement operation. Then tell me about nasty.

When I upped the SulPoMag it brought out a whole another level of terps/frost

That would mean you were lacking in those elements in the first place.

I only comment on this because of the add more stuff attitude this industry has.

Everything needs to be in balance and complete for the plants needs is the key to quality.

More is not something plants ask for. (Well maybe light). Just enough describes better there nutrient needs.

No deficiencies present. Just an adjustment I made during transition.
I'm on my third run with this soil now so availability isn't an issue. Next build will probably include a few more slight additions because I like diversity.

As far as all this flushing nonsense and bickering..
I guess if a grower trust their methods so be it. Who am I to school them. Though I do hate to see knew growers bombarded with "bro science".
Personally, I see no need for "flushing" especially those that start the last 2wks and somehow think dumping copious amounts of water through a their substrate is going to do anything other than waste water. Not to mention the pH dives that inevitably happen in a peat based medium.
But like I said...whatever floats their boat....

Unrelated side note for the organic growers - I'm really digging Coast of Maine Lobster compost ATM. Check it out if you can.;)

Why not?

It has various charts that show an increase in weight to a certain point and gain in thc to a point.

It supports the theory that optimal feed to the end gives a better plant.

If it increases the in cannabis sativa l, why wouldn't it in cannabis sativa or cannabis indica.

How can anyone think that starving a plant until it fades yields more and taste better?

It needs the proper nutrition to develope the buds. Like any other plant.

Come on. You really believe that? No other crop do we starve them and fade.

Its ridiculous.

There is more than hemp fiber. There is seed and even indica looking hemp.

They are very similar. Its not a far stretch. That is the only study I can find at the moment.

There is another that test all three NPK for potency and yield. It said the same thing for all elements. Optimal is best.

Now. You can my fucking ass. I know damn well how to interpret data. I'm an educated man with a degree.

I'm just having a bit of a debate and fun. No need for you to get your panties in a wad.

Go and starve your damn plants. It makes no matter to me.

At least I posted something. Hemp is close and there is more than fiber hemp. If it makes more the in hemp why wouldn't it in other types of cannabis.

As said ill find the study and you will eat crow.

You made a claim just as I did so show me proof.

Play time farmer.

Yes they do. My favorite time of year to rabbit hunt with beagles.

People think I'm playing. I don't. The people that known me a while on here know I hunt, catch, trap and grow most my family eats. I grow and can hundreds of quarts of vegetables a year.

I've shown pics of all of it.
I've never done a lot of rabbit hunting, not keen on the meat really but did eat lots when I was a poor kid living in my own just out of school. My German short hair just wrecked his back leg so no rabbit chasin for him :(. Mainly deer and waterfawl now ..... you sit a lot lol.

Don't just run off. You were very argumentive to some real serious growers.

But we would still rather share and learn from each other.

White and me sure have got into it. And I really like him. Even when I was just a lurker and didn't post yet. Did you look at his buds?

I personally feel privelaged to hear and see about his methods and garden.

And the rest of the people trying to tell you to try to learn more are great too.
You are making me blush now.

I'm not saying I know it all or I am the best around. I grow for myself and a few others that need it.

I mainly grow because its illegal here and I don't want to support cartels or other criminal outfits.

It is also hard to find good pot here. If you do its outrageous. 10-20 bucks a gram. Screw that.

I make mistakes. I've shown them. I try to be modest. At times I'm sure I come off a little cocky but I genuinely care and try to help others.

I grow illegally because I will not stand idle and watch people that need it suffer.

I spend time in the grow sections helping when I can. I wouldn't give advice to the detriment of anyone's plants.

I also try to be a sponge. You never know when someone may teach you something.

I enjoy the banter and have learned quit a bit she here on this site.
Wait till you work in a hog confinement operation. Then tell me about nasty.
I hunted a pig farm that was a couple miles from where I grew up. We could smell it when the wind was right. I also spent some time inside those pig buildings.

No thank you. I prefer not to. We raise one or two pigs a year and those stink bad enough.
"Better" is subjective. I guess some don't like terpenes/flavor/nose/complexity/"oils" and prefer stress.
Maybe. That may be true.

I understand natural fade and genetic colors.

What I don't understand is the claim of letting it fade because of nutrient defeincy. Cannabruh says that he waits until the swell is done then lets them fade. How does that makes sense? Right after the swell is prime time to harvest. Waiting until a deficient fade would put the plant past a good harvest time.

If you fade before the swell it hurts yield and potency.

To each their own I guess.

I hunt just about every game available. I love me some dove breast wrapped in a piece of bacon.

My son is now getting into it now.

A nice bird we got this spring.

Yes. I'm a little pudgy. Winter weight. By this fall I will be lean.
