The Smell In An Appartment

Im.lookin at an appartment rather than a house I will have the grow room far away from the front door but I'm wonderin if I can keep the smell from creepin out.... I have my card so I'm not to concerned with that any advice?

Sure man, a properly vented tent with a carbon filter will be stinkless.

I have my card and I have done it in an apartment without a tent. I used UNA gel. When the meds were drying it still reaked. You should be okay either way unless u are in a crime ridden neighborhood.

Carbon filter is better and won't smell a thing, but the Ona gels work great! I could smell the ona gels outside but compared to dank smell wouldn't be good lol.

Make a space and use a good carbon filter. The less your neighbors know about what you are doing, even if you have a card the better your growing experience will be.

Yea I was going tio divide a room in 2 and use a filter what is the ona stuff?

Consider ona as an air freshener and carbon as a filter

If you have proper exhaust system with "negative" pressure and your exhaust outlet actually exhausts OUTSIDE or in attic then you wont have a problem with smell.....I grow 4x8 tent with 2 1000watts in my upstairs apartment in my sparebedroom.......I use my attic to help create a proper exhaust system.....

Filter and ona. Or you could learn how to cook Indian food. Nobody can smell anything over that smell and it tastes good.

Im in an apartment and I have no probs... with growroom door shut... and proper ventilation... theres no escaping of smells.... !!!! Only when I harvested could I say there was a definite odor hanging in the air!

yeah the whole area around my house reeks when im drying.. not too bad till 2nd week flower tho

i was liven in oakland county mi in an apartment the most strictist county on weed in michigan they dont care if you got a card or not, there locken you uP, and i didnt have one, lol i grew out a batch in a spare bedroom without a tent the smell and paranioa took yrssss off my life... lukily my neighbors were indian and they cooked that strong shit, then i wised up got a tent no smell at all and i stopped getting grey hairs thank God i moved outta that city!

Consider noise in your case too, cant have a 10" centrifugal fan mounted to one side of your wall and the other side of the wall is where your neighbor sleeps... haha. Carbon filters arent perfect, they can be noisy and arent 100% stink proof.

Im not hating, Ive got a 435 CFM fan and a 2ft tall carbon filter. They work yes, but they arent stealthy by any means is my point.

LOL.. yeah that's it just constantly cook good smelling food in your house. You will gain 200 lbs but you are less likely to get caught

I use an 8" Rhino Carbon Filter and also have ONA auto-sprayers in every room of my house.... Just smells like fresh laundry everyday ... only upon Harvest does the smell go a bit crazy.. but Its contaned to 1 room and after the stuffs all jared up and ready for curing... the smell is practically gone, and its back to that fresh linin smell - STELTHY

I had a very very bad experience growing in an apartment. The sound of everything running can't be hidden, the smell, even if it's well filtered is so hard to completly hide, and then drying them makes for another problem. You'll have tons of bud being out of the tent to trim, hang, and opening the jars every day to cure. If you have one neighbor who smells it, it could be a police visit, which with a card and legal is ok, but a robbery is the big danger.

Just MHO. Growing anywhere while renting is dangerous compared to growing somewhere that is owned.

Hey man, i live in an appartment building and i had the same problem as you... depending on the size of the appartment, a 4inch inline attached to a carbon filter will bassiclly make your whole unite smell fresh lol. Yes, its a little more expensive, but doing it this way ensures that you have no odors what so ever...
