the scentless buds

Every time i grow i end up with some killer bud but there isn't any real smell to it. It starts out smelling like hay when harvested but once dry it almost smells like nothin'.I've grown GDP and black kush both end up about the same. Can anyone tell me WHY or tell me how to get it to stink? I want that skank when you open the bag U know!

How do you cure your crop?

do you cure at all..?
unless you get some jars to put it in, it will smell like grass.

My friend gets supply of some purple shit that doesnt smell at all, it's better that way imo, still gets you fucked up tho

BRO ! I wish there was some better answers here ...... I have had the same problem .IT SUCKS BALLS ... I thought is was bad seed stock . Could it be ???? I got everything else right . 600w HPS ,co2 , fans , fert. Etc .Awesome buds a little thin no scent... I've been at this for along time and never had i have this happen to me before .. Got some seeds from Toronto420 and what can I say ? CRAP !!! WWW / XXX , NL /SK , what can i say but I got skunked ..I think ..... Not sure what I did wrong ....Can ANYONE help with this ????????????? I never want it to happen again that is if its my fault ..Anyhow threw all the $hit out and on to greener pastures ..... Purple haze , Shiva , and some Cali-mist .......

Check out my Hindu kush grow. I've asked the same question, and am curing a batch now that won't take. The jars smell awesome but the buds fail to adopt the smell. I'm hoping that time will help, but i've had this happen to me before. Doesn't seem like it's a problem commonly addressed. Is the answer "cure with time?" Is it that simple, anyone know the chemistry or general process?

Im no genious here but ive seen this before. I think it could be because of the time you cropped. I think that has to do with it, or it could be "your method" of curing, ive heard the best way to cure the buds to smell right is to cut individual branche off the plant, hang them for one full day with ALL LEAVES STILL ON IT then come back the next day, do the trimming of the leaves, hang again until it is no longer wet, but slightly moist, then start the mason jar curing opening them once a day until its right for your liking

Try crushing it with your fingers a little bit before you smell it.

This is a normal reaction. It happens a lot after the buds air dry. Just put em in some mason jars for a few weeks and the smell should pass. We call it "curing".

try putting it in a mason jar for about 3 weeks to a month, it seemed to work for me. i've heard alot of ways and tried um all and it never worked besides the jar method. my friend does the sweat method and his smells unreal. imo i don't think harvesting time doesnt really effect aroma because this batch that i had for almost a month was an early chop and is worth crap but it smells great. also ive noticed that using budswell my plants smells alot danker than the one without. anyone kno if that makes a diff.?

had that prob wit my bb. but imo it juss means you have to cure alot longer if you have the patience then wait for like 3 to 4 weeks then see if you can smell. also try checking the stem in the middle to see if it still bends then that usually means you still have to cure longer or check and see if the stem is hollowed. other than that i dunno what it is.

well to be honest with all of u its really weather u are totally organic and use good soil that is mycoriza fungi like promix BX....plus ph and all that good stuff. I have had great white shark do that to me and K-train from greenhouse. U want a bomb strain that will get u fucked up then kings kush has a great smell..And another thing dont used feminized seeds well try not to any way i mean i have gotton my best seeds but then i have also got my worst seeds, they hermie a lot. Natural seeds really dont do that much...their for always producing lotzzz of resin and terpene production which increaces taste and try to find some products that contain folic acid. Humboldt grow, deuce deuce, and bloom is good stuff stinks like shit literally but its great stuff....they have a product that contains folic acid, and humic acid. Folic acid is a derivative of humic acid so legally they have to sell it as humic acid. bomb...do what i say and get a good cure u will have the dankest shit in the town my nina

ya or simply sqeez with fingers or shake a lil bit while their in the jar for cure and let that smell get released
