so i got a ? and i know it might be a dumb one but i gots to ask does every strain that has purple in the name turn totale purple ? like purple nurple ,grandady purple? or does just the hairs in the bud it self turn purple ?

no, the hairs wont turn purp. having "purple" in the name doesnt ALWAYS mean its gonna be purple, but more times than not...BTW you can achieve purple buds by lowering the temperature ur plant is growing in.

whats a safe way to lower temps?

i hear watering with ice water can cause it. or put some ice on the soil?

Thats really interesting, I had blueberry but they never turned blue and my temps were 15c nights and 20c lights on.

i wanna bump this again.

OK so you can turn plants purple by stressing them, but if you want a real purple strain then you have to get the right strain and right pheno. The purple taste is the most amazing thing. A lot of purples turn purple later in flowering and same with the blues. Querkle (Purple Urkel x Spacebomb) from TGA seeds is the best, easiest obtained purple strain that is out unless you live in Nor Cal and have access to 8 purples at the moment. BBBBOOOONNNNGGGG

I am growing purploe wreck and lavender. I noticed that the purple wrecks will turn to purple if the temp at all lowers but only the purple wreck plants will in a tent with non purple plants like heri and slh. My pws have all been male. I am about to flower a lavender female, but I have not really grown her out yet or had cold temps. I am assuming that only strains that have some purple can turn purple even with lower temps and that many have phenos that will purple anyway all over diferent ways. Blueberry I think is mostly for the smell of blueberrys because my el monstre has blueberry in it and smells like blueberries. Those are all male so far too tho. Gl.

here is a pic of the girls im grown. finally got a fedw leafs to turn purple add another fan and ran it on the dark cycle looks like there all going to change color...got a shot of the crystals growen also see what you think of them g's
