Lol. My wife tells me that our kid is telling her kindergarten that Santa isn't real. I asked her where she got that notion and she said "I told her".

Dude I come from a single mother. She told me very early that there was no such thing as free gifts and she worked hard for everything under that tree. No santa for me, none for my kids. I respect my mothers honesty, and refuse to lie to my children..no matter how young or old. My wife says Im the anti santa...lol

Unlike @Max Ehrmann, I gleefully lied to my son and told him there was a Santa Claus that would bring him wonderful gifts if he was a good boy & sacks of useless coal if he wasn't.
He existed in that happy fantasy until he was 8, & then he figured out that Santa was a myth (he caught me wrapping up the presents
)
I got 8 years though of a smiling child, which was/is priceless.
I feel sorry for Max's kids

Dont feel sorry for my children. They are both grown and gone now. Both pretty happy I think. With their own children who know santa is a farce. Just think you lied to your children and told them a saint in red suit sneaks in their home and leaves all the little boys and girls toys. lol I feel sorry for you and your children. Once they learn Santa is a lie, they might think this whole God thing is too... So it can have it's positive aspects, people lie to you kid, I did and other people do too, that's yer Christmas present this year, wisdom...

Christmas was less fun for me when my kids found out Santa doesn’t exist. The Santa thing is more for the parents than the kids. At least it was for me.
