The Oldschool - revisited - help

Nowadays there are so many crazy crosses and clone only cuts it makes my head spin. I want to try them all but that ain't happening with my dinky little 2 lamp garden, nor do I know the right people. From seed is my only option. So it got me to thinking. I want to grow and smoke the classics. I want to revisit the history of indoor growing. For a guy who has been smoking no name street herb his whole life I think it will be fun.

So help me out RIU and throw some strain names out there for me to look into. The oldschool and classic indoor strains please. Where I'm from it's not like Cali or Colorado or BC. We don't have the luxury of dispensaries, clones and having 10 friends/acquaintances that are pro growers. Also, I have only ever done 1 crop that wasn't bag seed.

So far all I got is:

AK-47
Northern Lights
Jack Herer

Good old school choices. Throw in some white widow, haze, skunk, a good Mexican strain. Maybe some thunder fuck.

Great suggestions guys. Keep em comin! I don't know how I forgot white widow from that list. That shit was in every magazine in the 90's. And every old guy from the generation before me has spoken of the Maui Waui. Where can I find some Mexican or Columbian landrace from seed? Not sure how well those ones would do indoors but it sure would be a nice treat.

I feel like haze or skunk are so general. Are there any specific haze or skunk from seed I should look into from certain breeders? I want the real deal. I actually have some Skunk #1 x Haze seeds from a new to the scene breeder. Maybe I'll give those a whirl at an attempt to revisit the oldschool.

As promised. The first picture is of 4 Maple Leaf Indica. Look at the odd leaf crinkle and stature

Next is the Pakistani Chitral Kush.

Some shorter phenos are naturally short, some plants are two weeks behind.

Also threw in some Bangi Haze there at the bottom. Time for a transplant for some of them. Also inbred, and land race ate very slow at the gate. I miss hybrid vigor but once they get going they move.

Black Widow is a great line. If you buy it, get it from his auction site. It's linked on his webpage.

For NL and Blueberry I'd check out PeakseedsBC. Awesome genetics and prices. His hybrids are nice too. Sweet Skunk is killer but it's not a pure Skunk #1, it's Skunk #1 mixed with Island Sweet Skunk. It's great either way and worth checking out.

Sannie has the most reasonably priced version of Jack Herer and it's well worked and stable. It also descends from the original parent plants which are said to have been lost.

For Haze check out Ace or Tom Hill. I've heard good about Seedsmans version too but I haven't seen it for sale in a while.

Ace has a bunch of old school land race stuff as does Cannabiogen.

I'm digging Ace so far, healthy plants and about to go into flower. I just really miss the initial vigor compared to good hybrids. Once things get going though it's not bad. I will be taking clones so we shall see how they hold up. Not particularly concerned.

Also they took care of a problem when I had it, that goes for something in my book.

Cheers! I'm already all over PeakseedsBC. I have a couple packs of most of his offerings as well as 3 of his flavors currently in flower(NB, SB, NS). Was planning on using his NL for this. :) Good to know about his Sweek Skunk lineage. I always wondered if it was "THE" ISS. I also landed on Sannies Jack from a previous post I made searching for the real jack in seed form. Looks like this is the closest representation at the best price. Thanks to you guys I now know where to find the true WW without even having to ask. Anyone have any links to stories about why Mr. Nice is the true lineage?

Can't say I ever heard of Maple Leaf Indica or any Moonshine strains before. Not sure if it falls into what I'm looking for. Oldschool Indo Classics. I'll also have to check out Ace. Where can I find Tom Hill?

So far the list :

Serious Seeds AK-47
PeakseedsBC Northern Lights
Sannie's Seeds Sannie's Jack
Mr. Nice Black Widow

DJ Shorts blueberry would be a good candidate. Pretty much any blueberry strain around has that in its lineage. There's a sativa and Indica variety within the line. One is called true blueberry or something like that.

Cheers man! This is my first time even hearing of Tom Hill but I'm always willing to try something folks speak highly of.
