wow.. that sucks that sum of them turned out to be males... =/ and it sucks even more cuz u cant write them talking about germ. rated or anything like that... thats one thing i love about nirvana.. my 1st order was 5 fem White Widow seeds.. adn only 1 out of 5 germinated.. soo i wrote them.. adn told them andasked if they gaurenteed a certain % of germ. rate.. and they said they gaurentee 100% germ rate.. and re-sent my order b4 even writing me back.. no questions asked. adn i know a few other people that had a couple seeds that were male in a fem pack. adn they re-sent their order again with no questions.. wish u could do that with attitude.. cuz i woulda wrote them about my pineapple express for sure... =( i really wanted that to germinate..

and as far as a prize... idk. lol. never really thought of doing a prize.. it would be kinda hard.. cuz we would need people to judge... and my broke ass can barely afford seeds for myself.. nevermind for the "winner"... hahaha.. but idk. i'll try 2 think of sumthin maybe.. for the person who has the best looking plants.. but its kind of a hard comp. cuz sum ppl only have 1 plant.. sum have many.. sum ppl r using CFL's.. sum are topping/FIMing/LST'ing... idk.. what do you guys think... should we have like an actual competition?? i could make another thread for judging only.. and have a poll (i might have to make 2 threads.. since they only allow 10 answers to a poll.. 2 threads would give me 20 choices) and only allow pictures of the plants. along with other info.. such as lighting.. veg time.. soil.. nutes.. etc.. but like i said.. as far as an actual prize... im not really sure what i can do. =/ if any1 else has a bunch of extra seeds.. adn wants to like.. send a few to the winner.. let me know.. lol. i might try 2 write attitude.... and tell them about what i have going on.. but word it right soo that they wont get in trouble... and maybe i can tlak them into sending sum seeds to the winner... idk.. they probly wont do it.. but it might be worth a try ya know... any1 else got any ideas??

Attitude might offer a gift voucher im sure it would be good advertising for them cause this thread is going to explode when plants start budding. Christmas Day should be a cut off tough otherwise the comp could last over 12 months

it turned hermie apparently; impossible for fem's to become male

There has always been problems with fem seeds going hermie. That is why they don't call them female seeds any more, they are "feminized". There are lots of "feminized" males out there in the human world, so I'm guessing thats what's going on here.

I bought some Dutch Masters Reverse because I figured this was going to happen. Its only like $18, and if this allows me to grow these strains without the head ache of male flowers, its well worth it to me.

hell i wouldnt mind at all if one of my fem freebies turned hermie just take that pollen and get myself some fem seed crosses :D

I don't think you would want to use hermie pollen for breeding. I would guess that it would have the hermie trait and would pass it on to your new stock. So you would end up having a bunch of hermie plants from those seeds. If you want to breed some plants, don't use hermie pollen and don't use fem seeds as your female. You would want to use a standard male/female combo to get your best results.

they would be hermie seeds if you let the plant polinate itself but if you take the pollen from the plant and cross it with a female from what i understand they will be fem seeds.

yup yup. that is true... but the feminized seeds will be "more likely" to herm due to stress than a normal plant.. but thats the way it is with most feminised seeds anyways.. but in my opinion it would be well worth it. =)

After a week in flower, things are really coming along. The Chronic is stretching nicely, but also bushing out. The Motivation is stretching out quite a bit, but it isn't really bushy at all. Sensi Star is staying super short and bushy. It was about the same size as everything else when it went into flower, but it is at least 6" shorter than the others now. The Sour Kush is looking nice as well. It's not as bushy as I was hoping for, but its still looking good. I will be taking clones from all the flowering plants on saturday so I will have mothers of them around. I will try and get some pics up on sat when I am watering and cutting clones.

About a week after i switched to 12/12 sensi star is my tallest one. Id say 2.5-3 feet. Wappa is a short bush(about 1.5-2 feet) Motivation is still short. About 1.5 feet. It was a double sprout soo 2 plants are sharing one pot. Dont expect much from the Motivation. My Rocklock was showing balls soo I cut it the other day. Will be throwing in another 400 in the next few days

Jesus, so that's 3for3 of people getting male rocklocks? I might just toss my seed outside and let it fend for itself...

My rocklock probably turn hermie because of stress. I had just finished transplanting it into a 3 gallon pot and was doing something else and knocked it over. I put all the soil back in the pot and it looked sad for a week and started to stretch. I think the rocklock are prone to hermie if you stress it.
