no worries... u may want 2 start on the low end since i have no idea what is in your soil (i dont want u to burn your plants) but those doses have always been fine for me (but im in coco)... I believe the label says 6ml per gal. so it should be fine regardless of the type of medium? anyhow it should be fine, it just good practice to start low and work up... Peace, -J

done some testes
1ml in 1L of water
took ph from 7.5 to 6.5
ec = 4
so I put 40ml in 40L , thats 40mls in 10.7 gals 3.7ml to 1gal
about right to start with
in 3-4 days will just water them
3-4 days after just water, will try 45ml in 40L +nutes up to EC 20 , does that sound good to u?

0.4 EC (200 ppm's) sounds good... I dont think you need to increase it but I will let you decide based on how they look.

2.0 EC added to a soil grow may be a bit strong depending on the EC of your soil, but if the soil is getting depleted or you have already used a EC that high without problems then go for it.

Everything else sounds good to me.

Hi, if you have Canna coco pro plus would you need to start feeding nutes straight away? I have heard so many mixed opinions.

Should seedlings just b fed water for the first 2 weeks of the plants life?

No nutes are need for the first week or 2 when using the pro plus... it has a EC of 1.3 so that should last you for a little while.

Hey I have a quick question about proper flushing.
Im using three gallon pots with cana coco. Im about to enter week 4 of flowering. Ive been using A&B plus cannazym and now I am about to start using PK13/14 in addition. I am actually reusing most of the the medium from my last grow so Ive been using 20ml of cannazym per gallon (i began cannazym once i initiated flowering) so far but now I am about to reduce it to 10. Throughout the grow I have been flushing every third watering with only a gallon of ph balance water. Is all this enough/acceptable??

yes, except the part where you are flushing every 3rd watering (that is a soil method).... You dont want to use plain water with a coco grow. Just feed with every watering and save the flushing for the final days before harvesting. You only want to flush coco if you have burned your plants or it is a final flush before harvest.

I wouldnt use the pk during the last week or two but the canna boost accelerator you can use until your final flush, or even with your flush water if you wanted to.

Hello
I have spent some time reading this thread and have learned alot. Im about to start a canna coco grow with cana a+b and PK and some willow water substitute and canazyme.

I have questions about my water. here is my water report last page has a break down of what is in the water.http://www.denverwater.org/docs/assets/9A0474D0-BCDF-1B42-DDA16D94EFB34AAA/2009_water_quality_report1.pdf

For some reason there is no calcium and 5 ppB of magnesium and they use cloramine. The cloramine is bad and wont evaporate like clorine. I use RO 0ppm water on my organic Earth juice grow right now.

Should i use my tap water and add some sort of fish cloramine remover Or use the RO water and add 200ppm of cal-mag

shit i guess i will have to add some source of calcium since my water does not have any. How does dolomite lime work with Cana coco.

Hey fella.

Yes you can use tap water. If your going to use it you must invest in a PH tester kit. You can go all fancy and buy a gadget like a PH wand, Im not sure how much they are in the states but i would probably say around $80 or you could get the cheap but easy version of a squeeze drip around $5. Then you going to want to test your water.

First fill up a container of tap water and then let it sit out for 24 hours or more, this is to let the chlorine evaporate. Once you have done that take a reading with the wand or drip meathod. It will tell you if you have hard or soft water. Once you have your initial reading then your going to want to use (PH UP) or (PH DOWN) to correct your water so that its between 5.2 - 6.4. Quick example of this would be.

Initial reading of 7.5 + PH DOWN
Initial reading of 4.5 + PH UP

Retest your water when you have added the solution and check against a chart if using the drips....

Now chloramine can be an issue, but there is a simple fix. Go and buy an ( air stone ) to put in to your water. This will help in 2 way's. 1st providing oxygen to your water and secondly it will help evaporate the chloramine. Im sure there will be other methods to do this. And there will be solutions to speed this process up, but i never add any more solutions to the water than there is already in it.

For the most part your not going to need to use Cal/mag with the water until you get in to flower cycle. But you may want to use some nitrogen in veg as these plants grow fast and use a lot in veg cycle.

I hope this has helped you mate. Im sure there will be other's on this thread who will help. This is just what i know that work's.

If you are using beneficial bacteria and fungi and you are worried about the chloramine then I would say use your RO water, but some of your beneficials might be able to survive the chloramine if you wanted to take your chances. The chloramine wont ruin your grow or anything like that but your microlife would be happier without.

Use the 150-250 parts per million of Cal/Mag regardless of which water source you decide to use (150 ppm for early veg & 200-250 ppm for late veg and through flower)... The Canna Coco nutrient line is formulated for the 200 ppm's of cal/mag to be added by the grower.

Your water is really clean other than the Chloramine... As far as I know it cant be evaporated or at least is very difficult if at all possible... I will have to look into that a bit deeper.

You could also get a sediment/chlorine remover that wont waste all the water that a R/O Machine does... Vermicrop makes a new one that looks good and the "small boy" and "tall boy" are very popular.
I wouldnt mess with any fish tank products for removing it.

Thanks for the Quick replies guys. Ill see what i can do for the chloramine without having to use Ro water. I like benificial life in my media I have been growing organic and have the ph tester ppm meter and many dodads.

I am new to the hydro type growing, so you are saying i adjust the ph of my water befor i add the nutrients? that doesn't seem right. My base Ph is 7.4 when i add some nutrients it will most likly drop the ph I feel that I should adjust the Ph after adding the nutrients. How long does it usually take Ph to stabilize after adding nutrients? can i use my ph tester right away how long should i wait.

I have a bag of canna coco just to be sure I have read that i should first wet it with 1/4 str a+b ph adjusted to 5.8 to 6.2 does it need a flush after that so the run off is the same as the water I add in?

with the young clones do i just use cal-mag adjusted water for around the first 2 weeks then start adding the A+B?

thanks for the help guys.

It really depends on what is in your tap water... if your tap is .4 EC and that .4 is mainly Cal/mag then I wouldnt add much of any... but if it doesnt have much cal/mag then i would add it at 1-2ml per gal.

For the PK 13/14 I like to use it for a couple weeks but I would run it for at least a week.
