the mofo police

  • Calling all experts i need your help, if the police were to take say 18 plants 3 weeks into flowering, is there any way they can prove weither they came from cuttings/clones or from seed???, the reason is this, lets say a friend of mine got arrested for 18 plants which is abit much for personal use, now he's saying that they came straight from seed and they were a mix bag with a 50% chance of male and female which would take it down to 9 being female and 9 being male which would take it down to personal use, i really need to know if a expert could prove how they were grown seed or clone, clones are always almost female so if it can be proven then he's going to get done for 18 which equals fkd up, any help would be most useful

there is no way to tell if they were grown from seeds or clone imo..

i also don't think the cops gaf whether you were growing 18 males, or 9 males and 9 females.. growing cannabis is illegal, whether you're going to get buds at the end of the day or simply pollen, just the fact that you grew cannabis you'd be breaking the law imvho..

Typically a clone will not have the large single tap-root that plants grown from seed have.
Delay official proceedings as much as possible & hopefully come court day LEO will have cut them down to weigh & pitched the root ball's.
Other than taking DNA samples (assuming they are all cut from the same mother) I don't think that they could say definitively one way or the other.

But honestly I don't think the court's care about that aspect.

As long as there the same strain it could pass, never heard of a way to figure that out...

I think your friend should probably leave the country now unless he has a good lawyer.

Whats he going to say? "9 of those plants were males and you cant get anything from males" anyone with half a brain will throw out the fact that he might of been making seeds to grow even more plants. I still dont see why your "friend" would have males in there by the 3rd week of flowering becuase they would of already expressed sex. Either way your friend is somewhatly fucked but with no priors and a good lawyer he will get probation.

the case has been adjourned for that exact reason, because he was new to growing didnt have a clue what he was doing etc so he didnt know what was personal or not, believe me it makes a difference, the next court case is for the police expert to come in and say her bit, but if it cant be proven beyond reasonable doubt that they were all from clones then there might be a fighting chance, yh he's still going to get done but he'll get charged for growing personal instead of commercial with intent to supply if you follow....i know im grasping at straws but if you dont try you'll never know.

also this happened over a year ago but is only going through court now, only two plants were examined so im presuming that the evidence will be gone now so how can it be FAIRLY assessed of quantity which is how its done here in uk when deciding what level of growing your are meant to be, he is not trying to get off with it but put damage limitation in place because 9 plants is community service...over 9 plants will be 8 months porridge

What State are you in?
Was it a legal grow?
Sure, like to look @ the state Law.

Only thing I can think of is. You could argue that they were cuttings and not rooted. But, these were flowering plants.
Over the limit is over the limit.
