hey nugs I just noticed in the video that your growroom got some kind of "screen" at the bottom (too collect the water?) can you maybe give me info on the closet you has as I intend to get something like that and have been thinking about how to do it, maybe you can give me a couple of tipps...will just need a plan and then probably let a professional carpenter do it as I need it pretty sound proof and smellproof oh and the guys a stoner too so its pretty safe :joint:
the screen is just an air space for my smartpots to breathe from underneath....

Well, I think I finally got a female of AOS, only took 28 days of waiting, 9 of those days in 12/12. One, small calyx and if I'm not mistaken, a pistil peeping out.

look very closely, if it does not have anything that resembles balls by now, chances are it is a girl......if she is not showing anything at this point, 5 days won't hurt....my guess is she will have a nice set of pistils for you when you return.
Cool. Im 6 for 6 females so far for seeds got a from that pollen. So I am pretty confident its female. Its the last seed of this strain and I want to keep it. The other 2 seeds I did 12/12 from seed thinking they wouldn't be that great. To try that method. I wasn't to fond of one of the parents. Raspberry cough. Sativa dom. higher cbd strain. Huge yielder though. But both phenos turned out better than my master. So.... Gotta keep it.

Turn them upside down or get the trays that have the squares for holding the rooters.
Yeah i do that but their still not very stable be nice if they was a bit wider ehh? But I did plan on getting a tray built for the inserts. My local supply shop has a real bad habit of sticking the bags of plugs on the bottom shelf where other things get crammed on them so half of them are usually all smashed.

yeah, i hear ya, about 10-20% of them are pretty deformed....i always trim the bases with a scissors to get them to sit stable.....they are almost never perfectly level....but there still is nothing better....

If you buy the trays of the rapid rooters they are nice and un-smushed and are perfect when you take them out of the trays... however.... they are more expensive because you have to pay for the tray but you still get 50, its about $5 more for the tray.... I usually take them out of the tray and bag them and try not to let anything end up on top of them but they still stay in better shape than buying the bags of them.

Quick question for those that may know the answer regarding PH and supersoil. I just noticed (like a dolt) that I've been PH-ing my water and after a week or so, the PH rises back up. Effectively scorching my poor plants. After a quick search I found that this can also lead to a mineral deficiency like Mg. And I think my current soil is not supplying enough food by the looks of things. So, my question is, if I apply a very light top layer of supersoil, will that correct my deficiency? Or do I need to look at some vegging ferts?

Combination of Roots Organic and FF Happy Frog in a 1 gallon fabric pot.
Water is tap, aged a couple of days for chlorine evaporation. My meter usually rates it around 8.9-8.6 straight tap. I usually apply a drop or 2 of GH PH Down to a gallon and take a new reading and apply another drop if needed to get it down to 7.0 and sits there uncapped till I need it.

I use a tall glass shot glass to hold my rooter plugs. Makes it easy to see when that lil root pops out of the bottom.

if you have not fed them anything up to this point, and gave them only water with a PH of 7-8.5....your soil PH is going to be too high overall......you should either transplant into a bigger pot with SS, or start feeding with some organic liquids...before you water/feed, make sure the total PH is around 6-6.3 in your case....this will both feed at the proper PH, and start lowering the PH of the medium a bit.....
