Looks fine. You will probably adjust them a couple more times after this when you are balancing the height of the tops in the ring.

first timer grower with happy healthy 8 headed plushberrys 1.5 weeks into flower. I have clipped out new bud sites through veg. Now, im getting a few new buds/side branches in the canopy that i feel i should clip. they average 3" long and it assume they will compete with the 8 heads for light and food. would removing them at this point in flower slow things down or is it the way to go? just wanted to get opinions as these are my first girls

....after she responds again, she is re-potted to her flower pot, a canopy ring is added, and she is allowed to veg for two weeks.......sometimes, one or two mains will get a bit taller then the others, so some simple super-cropping can come in handy at this point.....usually the center mains.....

TO CUT OR NOT TO CUT LATERALS
hI there

Ok I've created 8 perfect colas on my plant. But now after a couple of weeks I've noticed that other laterals are sprouting out from the main 8 colas and my lady is still in its vegetative state. Do I cut off these laterals/nodes or do I let them grow off the 8 colas?

A few root shots of my last three bucket Hempy's.
One WW mainlined to 14 on far right and two Ice one @ 8 mains on far left and washed the roots and one @ 6 mains middle.

There were grown in 3 gallon Hempy's. They were cut on 4/20 and just removed the stem and roots today, very little discoloration, these were some happy roots.

One thing I was not pleased with was the mix, I went with 75/25 Perlite/Vermiculite. When removing the root system from the buckets the Vermiculite was very dominate. Next grow my be 100% Perlite. I believe the additional O2 to the roots with the lighter material will be better.

Any comments welcome.

GR
Hey GR, I've been working with Hempy's for a couple of years now, tried several different mixes and now I've settled on coir/perlite mix in a ratio from 40/60 to 60/40 as the best performer based on resulting root ball mass/health. From my XP vermiculite just didn't cut the mustard (messy stuff and more expensive than coir), and coir has several advantageous properties that make it such a great medium (not to mention that it is a renewable resource and not mined like vermiculite).

Also in IMO too much perlite doesn't hold enough moisture/nutes to develop a large root system so 100% perlite doesn't sound like the way to go, IMHO. Good luck ;?D
