The last Wowie; Grow in Micro ATX computer case

So I found 4 seeds in a sack of some bomb Maui Wowie that I have attempted to grow, the first 3 all turned out to be males. This is the last one and I have a good feeling about my odds here, on top of the fact that the seed germinated on the slower side (I've read that males have a tendency to pop earlier).

Anyways heres the pics thus far, currently this will be the beginning of the second week of veg.

The lower leaves seem to have drooped a little since i transplanted it yesterday, but I am attributing this to some minor stress. Shes sitting in Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil with one 23w 5700k bulb above her. That's about 1.5 inches from the top to the light.

She is offset slightly because I will LST some branches in that direction while taking the main stem to the side with more room. Planning on putting in the 40w 2700k bulb I have and flipping to 12-12 in about a week or so. Hopeful yield of around 10-12 grams if it is trained properly.

Thanks for checking this out!!!

You should try to use a 6500k 23W. The plant grows better with the light spectrum of a 6500k vs a 5700k. 2700k is perfect for flowering though!

Ya I looked but the closest they had at the stores here was 5700k so alas I had to go with it. Plus most of the grow will be under the other light so it shouldn't be too detrimental overall.

Yo kirk good luck on the lady. Just to let u know, my mini fridge is run on 149 watts all 2700k, veg and flower, since the first grow. Ur right it won't affect ur plant all that much, IMO. Again, good luck with ur micro. I can feel it, shes gonna be female hahah peace

Herb: Do you think it would be better to switch the lights now even before i flower to get the extra wattage??

Personally, I would make that trade. Mainly because of the low wattage involved in ur grow. IMO the extra watts of a bigger 2700k will serve u better than a smaller, lower watt, more veg specific spectrum bulb. Just sub'd up so we'll see how she goes. Definitely add those watts tho... peace and good luck mang

Also, is it ur plan to take her all the way thru flowering with the single 40 watt cfl? If so, I would imagine u would probably want to harness as much of that light as possible... maybe some tin foil inside? Cheap and u probably got it around the house. Just a suggestion.

Im planning on using an old car windhsield shade to cut and put on the inside, and ya that 40 w is pretty much like 1/4 of the entire grow area so I cant get any bigger really.

thanks for the sub!!

Try get as much light as possible and cover any light leaks for maximum light on your plant and to decrease the chance of your (hopefully) female plant going hermi on you, In my experience LST'ing early (now) will help alot! good luck on your grow :weed:

When i switched the light the seedling got a wee bit burnt but the new growth is doing just fine so I'm not gonna worry too much about that. Other than that Im gonna let it grow a bit before i train it down and then my plan is to start flowering in a week or so whenever I get some mylar to line the inside so it, hopefully she, won't go hermie on me.
