The IRS and Beghazi

Benghazi is gaining traction. Some people actually care that we were attacked on US soil and it was lied about and then the lie was covered up. You can pretend it doesn't matter, it does.

Clinton to father of killed soldier "don't worry, we'll get those responsible... for that hateful video".

Yeah, that's gonna leave a mark.

You guys need to fabricate a new crisis or distraction. Got war?
It will be interesting. There is the collage of what was said on camera at the time, vs the collage of what is said now. No match.

But, I sense just enough wiggle over what is the meaning of "is" type of legal word play, to perhaps allow the entire thing to slide past.

Obama leaves out pronouns...are you seeing this? He starts a sentence with the appearance of full responsibility, but then when the phase chops and there is supposed to be a pronoun as to who he means actually did something.....woops, missing pronoun. Must not be him after all, since we are so stupid.

I know he does this purposely. It might just be enough to make it just politics....the Pubs are very bad at this part.

I still don't understand why you don't care about Benghazi. I don't care if I voted for the guy or not, I'd rather he not look me in the eye and tell me it's raining while pissing on my head.

I'm not in the frothing camp that demands impeachment over this. Just some clarity and maybe a bit of integrity would suffice.

Fortunately now that he's fucked over the AP the press is going to turn and stop covering his tracks, that screeching noise you hear is traction.

Personally, I am trying to decide whether lying about Benghazi for craven political purposes is worse than using the tax laws to strong arm political opponents. Right now I am leaning toward Benghazi because Obama seems to have a veneer of plausible deniability on the IRS scandal.

I am sure Buck and the new TEAboner nitwit will be along shortly to point out that I am just a racist and it is all Bush's fault.

Did you really read this?

You go to look at the email and sure it starts with that spin-machine double talk for exactly the same thing as reported, but what is that big blank space at the bottom? I know. When you want to blank out, you copy with another piece of paper to cover the shit she said later....oh CNN...shame. And this guy, I've seen him. Fine fellow, but the CNN board of content is still on Mission.

This logic is tormentingly slim. And from the beginning of this kind of tap dance, with Nixon, all of us were going, ruh roh.

When it gets like this in the media....very strange. All of us wonder now, why is the media tap dance? Why the early on tap dance about a video? Why are they saying "what tap dance?" Are they still confused?

No right or wrong, to me.

But, see this is a problem to many people. That is what will keep it going in Congress. WE can't stop now because WE got wind. Congress is the Will of the People. People are bugging them. That's the System. So, I wonder, why keep it going with tap dance? Hillary burning?

We will see if this is the new USA Underverse of Politics or not.

See, I agree with Cheez, still not even a hint of actual proof of a cover-up. And really if you listen, no legal allegation of one. But, we are seeing some predicted, intense pile on. Happens every time to two termers I guess. WE get restless. WE demand Oversight from Congress. WE are not stuipd, not the 30s anymore. WE know what this means...WE can decode it.

“There is a ton of wrong information getting out into the public domain from Congress and people who are not particularly informed. Insofar as we have firmed up assessments that don’t compromise intel or the investigation, we need to have the capability to correct the record, as there are significant policy and messaging ramifications that would flow from a hardened mis-impression"

A low level staffer for Hillary gets blamed for Benghazi, a low level staffer for Geitner for the IRS and some other lackey will take the blame for the AP reporters whose phone records were taken without a warrant or cause.

Obama is just the president, he can't be held accountable for any of this stuff can he?

The Low level staffer for the IRS is a guy named Douglas SHulman who happened to be the Head of the IRS and was appointed by Bush
IN regards to a cover up a recently released email from Ben Rhodes shows there is no coverup

“All –
“Sorry to be late to this discussion. We need to resolve this in a way that
respects all of the relevant equities, particularly the investigation.

“We can take this up tomorrow morning at deputies.”

The american voter will have forgotten by the time the next elections come around.

I don't blame Obama for the IRS crap, it is just a case of government employees abusing their position. It's easy to do when there is zero accountability. Hillary was being perfectly honest when she said "what's the difference".

Were you whining like a little girl when Bush did all those things?

What the Republicans fail to see apparently, is that everyone in the US sees through their self righteous behavior, and that they are still desperate to discredit Obama, even though nothing they have done has worked in the last 5 years. They have cried wolf so often, nobody really listens what they say anymore, except themselves.

"The IRS, as you know, is an independent enforcement agency, with only two political appointees. The fact of the matter is what we know about this is of concern, and we certainly find the actions taken as reported to be inappropriate, and we would fully expect the investigation to be thorough and for corrections to be made," Carney said.

Carney pointed out that the IRS commissioner in 2012, Douglas Shulman, was appointed by President George W. Bush. Asked when the White House became aware of the extra reviews, Carney referred questions to the IRS.
