hey guys, i topped the church and popped it into some sowing/cutting compost and a bio peat cup and watered it, hopefully see some roots soon and i'll have a clone. also got rid of the first growth of big fan leaves and the secondary growth seems to be coming on well. if i'm right there seems to be a lot of potential growth (colas?)
at the node points, but we'll see come flowering. both her and the big bud (a week or two behind in growth) are getting 18/6 from a 125w cfl in my wardrobe. no nutes, just water and light. few questions tho:
1. plants have attracted tiny flies, dunno exactly what they are, but they dont seem to be eating the plant. advice on how to rid?
2. should i got nutes? pros/cons for using them, and what kind are best?

in answering ur questions
1. my mate has ran into the same problem wee tiny flies everywere in his growroom, he finks they hav came the compost he was using!! his solution for them was to use them wee sticky strips for flies etc he jus hug a few of them up wrked a treat .. should b able to get dem n any shopping center or wat nt ..
2. i cant realli say wat nutes are amazin and which are shite cuz i havnt used them al, bt i am using biocanna range and my plants luv it that and it also organic and well priced .. bt jus do abit of research and im sure there will b sumfin that will ticle ur fancy ..

Hello Fellow Irish Growers! I'm not Irish myself but I've lived in Ireland for several years now and love it! Well... my first grow will start quite soon... the planning phase is nearly over! I'm also new to posting here, though I've been busy reading for sometime now, trying to get myself some education you see. Hope you wouldn't mind me asking a quick question? Alright then: I'm getting myself a small hydro setup, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good place to buy Nutes for Hydro. Thinking Botanicare or General Hydroponics. Looking around co.Dublin, Wicklow, or Kildare. Cheers!

Hi Richie. You mean head shops like Nirvana? I had no idea they sold nutes. Guess I'll have to check them out. Cheers for the tip! Anyone went to The Orchard (http://www.theorchard.ie/)? Place looks nice - real posh - not too sure what their DIY section includes.

Theres one just across the road from nirvana.
The orchard is in celbridge, they have a good allround garden section, they dolled it up big time in the last few years

Whats the craic lads got my free seeds from irishseedbank yesterday 5 LR#2 feminized and 5 Black Russian! All healthy looking seeds expect 1 LR#2 which is a bit small but on the down side another one of my L?R#2 has hermi i just sniped the balls this time hoping they wont come back!

went out there to check the ould plants, the power flower is defo in flower but im still not shure about the skunk, the pistls are realy streaching out at this stage. I might have to doa bit of trimming or tying down as she's nearly peeking over the nabours wall!

Thats very kind of them, im going to get a few lowryders for next years outdoor. How big do they get outside? I hear you need them on 18/6 to get decient results.
